    VICBREW 2016

Think, given the number of entries they have, being online only is more about a reduction in effort over managing pieces of paper and translating that said piece of paper accurately. If the online site does everything it needs to, it reduces the poor organisers workload enormously.

Illegal in WA to swap beer for services

People should try setting up a beer/work swap using the onion version of Facebook, "could" be harder to shut down as it would not necessarily be configured to be Australian based.... https://www.facebookcorewwwi.onion/?_rdr (hint use TOR browser)

How I made my Brewpi wifi with esp8266

All I can say is well done Mattrox, stepping into Linux is a great choice, I only use Windoze at work now and run three Ubuntu boxes at home. Plus for the price you have spent and what you have learned, it is a great project.

I am no sparky DJ_L3ThAL, but the earth is probably more via contact the screw makes with the body thread, rather than the contact with the washer.

As mentioned in another thread, if it came from Siebel Institute, any company can order a slide of yeast culture of whatever they have for just over US$100. I've always said some bright young biology student should be hired by the likes of Ross and setup in a warehouse somewhere to produce...

    Mini Keg Growler EOI

Wow..... that is an eye opening review.... I'll be considering that if this migrates from an EOI. I think based on this getting the one without dispenser and then adding some corny fittings directly to the lid with a dip tube might be a better solution than the dispenser referred to!

Dedicated Herms Guide, Problems And Solution Thread

I use one of those 12" perforated domed false bottoms and ditto, stuck every time, I run my pump at about quarter speed and that works. Before the current false bottom I had a custom made one that was the same diameter as the keg I use for the mash tun, same problem.

    Kaixin Pumps

I now have two of these, one for mash recirc through a HEX and one for recirculating through kettle and CFC. Both have the stainless steel head upgrades and they both work flawlessly. As lael mentioned, flow rate not as high as a March, which I have owned, but it is high enough to do what it...
