    No Love For Paddy's Brewery?

On Saturday mornings there is a huge 2nd hand/trash & treasure type of market in the under cover parking on the railway side of the markets. Great value & always something brewing related to be found. I scored a 45 litre corny keg there for $20 about 5 years back. Have fun & remember to haggle Jimbo

    Good Watering Holes In Wollongong

The Open Hearth at Warrawong has a couple of Paddy's beers on tap. Not sure if they rotate them or they stick with the same two. We had the Black, which we assumed was The Porter. James

    Orlando Brewpubs

82 which was good enough to take the cash in Split 6's. Got caught up in a wild game of Daytonas at The National a couple of days later & looked like having to flee the country until I chipped in on 17 to save the day! James

    "brewer For A Day" Breweries?

Have you tried actually contacting the breweries in your area? I think Paddy's in Sydney might do it depending on the mood of the brewer on the day you speak to him. Worth ringing around a bit. James

    Nsw Southern Highlands Event

The quality of the bottled beers from a couple of these breweries is hit & miss at best. How impressed would the Mexican's be if there was a flood of NSW micro's turning up on the other side of the Murray? I am starting to get to the end of my Drink Local campaign, which will be a little easier...

    Nsw Southern Highlands Event

There are 2 breweries just down the road in Canberra that would have higher quality product & much fresher too! Just a thought James

    Nsw Southern Highlands Event

Whilst it is nice to see these sorts of events pop up, it would be nicer still if they had a line up of local craft beers instead of a bunch of blow-ins from Victoria! Maybe next time! James

Rocks Brewing Re-opening Harts Pub, The Rocks

Impressive venue with a nice friendly feel to the place. Good food, good service, great range of beers. I was particularly impressed with the foam lacing down the side of the glass, although I am not certain whether this should be attributed to the quality of the beer or the brand new glasses...

    4pines Kolsch

My thoughts exactly. TD The Lord was a very nice place to be on Sunday arvo. There were a few guys buying stubbies which is always good to keep one amused. James

    4pines Kolsch

Correct, Murrays are not from Sydney. They have an awesome cellar door at Port Stephens that is well worth the visit. The Nelsons Blood is always a safe bet at The Lord, take away growlers of "The Blood" would be a nice way to finish the day there. One of the Sunday papers mentioned that the...

Rocks Brewing Re-opening Harts Pub, The Rocks

So what is up the taps? I will be walking past Harts late this arvo after lunch at The Lord & a quick look at whatever The Aust has on it's taps. It can't be too much longer until I can stop at Harts can it? James

Red Oak what????? Which beer????? Last time I went to Red Oak(before GFC) they had 3 different Porters that were not available. & no beers that really got me excited. I am looking at an individual beer that has stuck out from the crowd. We started out on the ESB at 4Pines as I liked...

    4pines Kolsch

OK I am starting to become emotionally attached to this beer so the question needs to be asked, is this the best micro-brewed beer in Sydney? If not, what is? I will leave you to it Thanks James

Sydney Royal Fine Food Show (beer)

http://www.sydneyroyalshows.com.au/wdff/wd...R=1&SY=2010 Great to see so many local (Sydney) breweries getting amongst the medals. 4Pines Kolsch gets a Gold Medal, this could well be the best tap beer in Sydney! James
