(SE?) QLD Xmas in July Case Swap 15 July 2017

If that happened in our company I would make a lot of noise. This sort of thing peeves me off. Obviously not to spec. Offering a replacement or credit or schwag or something is a lot cheaper than losing a customer and bad rep. Well done - vote with your wallet.

    Help?

Rather than starting a new thread, I am hijacking this one! My IRA is still bubbling. I am starting to get anxious and impatient. OG was 1.046, expected FG is 1.013, but currently sitting on 1.020, so nearly there. It has been in FV for 17 days. There was some action after maybe 30 hours...

    Rest between mash and boil

Thanks guys. I don't think it would have got sterilized. Can't imagine it would have gone over 75 for long enough. It sat in tun for 6 hours maybe? Then straight to kettle for boil. Everything else went well. Fingers crossed. [emoji482]

    Macalister Brewing Company

Try the red. I would very much be liking in anticipation to try the red with lots of late hoppingness.

    Rest between mash and boil

Mash temp was 66 for 60 mins. Sparged at 75 then stopped. It is destined to be an Irish red. Thanks for the replies. I am feeling relieved. [emoji106]

    Rest between mash and boil

What would the possible implications of not immediately transferring the mash to boil? In an attempt to avoid death by SWMBO I had to walk away from brew after mash complete. Tun (cooler esky) has a well fitting lid on it with minimal head space. Grain has been removed.

    New to Beersmith 2

Thanks. I realise all have to do is do a brew and take note - just wanted a ballpark to start in so I get the most out of my brew. Will give it a go and adjust as required.
