FS Melb Braumeister Malt Pipe and Plates, Robobrew plus more....

Gotta clear out some surplus brewing gear. I had all the pieces together to build my own Braumeister clone, then I got really busy at work and the project got shelved. Fast forward a couple of years and I have pulled the pin on the idea. Braumeister 20l Malt Pipe, 2x Filter Plates, 2 x Mesh...

Looking for a RIS recipe for Grainfather

I have a robobrew and recently did an RIS. Can't remember OG, but I calculated the final strength as 10.5% Recipe was a Stone RIS clone I found online. Turned out well but needs more maltyness, the huge amount of amber malt made it a bit too sweet in the end. I split the grain and did two 60...

    Conical fermentor EOI

Is it too late to get in on this? I'd like a 60l and I'm in Melb. I can maybe help with some importing tips, as I do it a lot in my day job. Looks like you've got most of the details covered though.

    Wanna upgrade my mash tun...?

Keg King ROBOBREW 35L SINGLE VESSEL BREWERY

Me neither, my most recent brew was a really dry pale ale which had a bit of crud on the element afterwards.

    Stone Go To IPA

Love this beer. It really rides the edge of bitterness balance for me. Anybody know what kind of hops? I taste Centennial I think? Would like to try cloning it.

Is there a good ' cheap' AG brew?

I brew my old man a bastardised kolsch occasionally. His favourite beer is cascade premium, so I don't bother getting fancy. Pilsner malt,a handful of vienna, bugger all hops and ferment with US05 at low temp. He likes it and I find it pretty drinkable given it's had a month or so of cold ageing.

Keg King ROBOBREW 35L SINGLE VESSEL BREWERY

Just did my first beer big beer in my RB over the weekend. An imperial stout which was supposed to come out at 1.096 OG, but only hit 1.090. I had to split the mash as I couldn't fit the 10kg of grain in the malt pipe, I think this is where I lost some efficiency as I could only sparge the...

    Glasses what's best

I had 4 spiegelau IPA glasses, broke all of them within 6 months. Waaaaaayyy too flimsy for a klutz like me. Only one of them was dropped, 3 of them broke from small knocks while washing in the sink.

    colonial small ale recipe

Yeah it's great isn't it? It's the best tasting mid strength beer I've had. Love the open-top cans as well. My guess on the malt bill: pale ale malt (80%) medium or light crystal malt (5%) malted wheat (15%) Hops, not sure but I think the late hop flavour is ella?

2016 Hop Plantations, Show Us Your Hop Garden!

Make an arrogant bastard clone! That's what I did with my Chinook harvest from last year. Best batch of beer I've made! My hops are stuffed this year :( too many whiteflies and something has been making the leaves yellow a bit. Next season I will be moving the bines to a sunnier spot and...

    Wellington NZ

I just got back and was blown away by the quality of the beer and the beer scene over there. Highlights were Fork and Brewer and Garage Project. All their beers were really good. "Angry Peaches" by Garage Project is the best Amarillo based Ale I've had. One theme I noticed was heavily hopped...

    Source for chili plants

Careful buying seeds off ebay. I bought some Scotch Bonnet seeds which I have lovingly germinated and tended to daily, after they were about 1/2 foot high I noticed they looked a lot different to my habaneros. Turns out they are Jalapenos. There goes my plans for hot sauce. Good scam though...

    Low Carb Home Brew

I'm a type one diabetic, and I can tell you from the effect on my blood glucose that carbs in beer vary a lot. Especially in ales. I find that out of my homebrews, the saison I make is probably the lowest carb. I've made it around 4.3% as well and it came out good. In general I'd rather have...

    Asahi buys Mountain Goat Beer
