I once had a vegetarian colleague/neighbour who had the same thought process. She said you should have to terminate, at least once, each type of animal you wish to eat and if you can't then you should not be eating it. She was quite shocked by the range of species that I outlined I would be able...

Ha ha, I would speculate that since 'pretty' is a subjective term, we may have differing opinions

    Gun Show

This girl has firmer (or more pushed up) puppies. 50 cal automatic, yeah that would be useful for hunting deer!

God bless America and their right to bear automatic military weapons; they sure are handy for self defence and destroying people movers

I don't much care for kidneys or liver but imagine you English types think it good tucker. Heart is reasonably good stuff, not so keen on tripe when it cools but warm is ok. Sheep brains and tongues and beef tongue are good stuff but haven't tried bits from other animals. Brains are difficult to...

    Whats In The Glass

Half full (I am not a half empty kind of guy) on the left and full to the right. If we go from left to right, as is our custom in Australia, then Praise be to Allah! It would appear to be a glass that refills itself!

    First World Problems Thread

My keg King kegerator arrived in Adelaide on Monday morning. Toll Ipec took it for a tour on Tuesday. They took it for a tour on Thursday. They took it for another tour today. I am unsure why it did not get a tour on Wednesday. They have not delivered it yet. Delivery destination was only 11.1km...

    2012 Hop Plantations

Did you enjoy it? It is good fun being able to do stuff like that. I have been told that fresh off the bine will give grassy flavours, I haven't let that stop me.

Garden Hose water - is it so bad?

I purchased this product and am very happy with it: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Twin-CARAVAN-Water-Filter-Kit-Heavy-Construction-White-Bracket-Filters-1-4GWC-/230911371843?pt=AU_SmallKitchenAppliances&hash=item35c363ea43 There are cheaper ones available but i would highly reccommend this brand...

    2012 Hop Plantations

Thanks for the info Yob. Those commercial guys certainly appear to have a thicker bed of hops. It is my opinion after inspecting the hops this morning that an Oast needs a fan (as per instructions on the net that I ignored). The cones smell very vegetal and are a bit limp rather than dried...

    2012 Hop Plantations

Will 50oC for 5hrs in the outdoor oven/smoker dry them nicely or will they smell like pork? (Theory being no smoke pellets, vent wide open and hopefully too low a heat for residulas to take effect). There is one way to find out!

    Air Compressor For The Brewery

Totally agree. I would reccommend a 100L tank or greater, as the 50L and smaller have a higher duty cycle and quicker pressure drop over time. However I use high air volume tools such as die grinder, orbital sander, HVLP spray gun and am probably not stopping often enough.
