    My New Brewery Build (pics)

We're really happy with them... fantastic bit of kit.. Haven't used it for awhile due to #3 bub due early next month so been busy with kids and wife, so I've lent my mash tun to a mate, it was sad taking it out of the brewery but he'll do good things with it I hope :) Good and Bad thing about...

Design of 150L Brew stand and Plumbing

Not a problem, was looking back at my post and i think you need the pivot just above the center so it hangs.. in the center will still allow for uncontrolled tipping.. Can't wait to see the end result, might be in line for my next brewery rack. -Gav

Design of 150L Brew stand and Plumbing

I still think your middle tippy design is going to give you some grief, let me see if I'm understanding it correctly The tippy part is held horizontal with a pin... ontop of that is a 150lt pot putting pressure on the pin. If this pin breaks, bends, pops out you get 150l of hot mash either...

Design of 150L Brew stand and Plumbing

The pivot point on your tippy dump could be an issue.. If you have a large pot on this and you try and tip over since its on the very bottom its going to all the sudden fall back or forward once your holding pins are pulled. I could be wrong but i think you'll need to bring your pivot point to...

Are the Auber RTD temp probes still the go?

You defiantly get what you pay for... I've got three of our Pt100 probes running on my brewery and they are a little bit more expensive as the eBay ones above but they're fully SS316 1/2" BSP so no annoying NTP to BSP thread issues.. I've read on here before that only rich people are afford to...

    Brauduino controlled electric smoker?

I've converted an Aldi smoker into a coal smoker.. sealed up the botton box got, a SS collider put a probe in where the temp probe was... got a ball valve down the bottom with a blower probe connected to a PID... its not as effective as my old ugly drum smoker for longer cooks (i.e. 16hr) due to...

Starting an Electric Brew control panel for AG brewing

triclover is a touch more taxing than simple cam locks.. but they make cleaning very easy... I'd gladly pay the extra so my clean up is easier, saying that i ordered more of the silicone gasket because I had a habit of misplacing them mid brew so instead of finding them straight away I had a...

    My Heat Controller

Hi Guys, Was going to open it up and show the insides but the jiffy box I used is a cheapish one and there are two screw heads that are stripped so I couldn't easily do it. So I'll just do a list of the bits Jiffy box (recommend getting a better one or use better screws) Old Computer CPU heat...

    My New Brewery Build (pics)

The key is to go to www.ebay.com (drop off the au) some don't show ALL what they sell in the Australian site. you will also get some people that wont ship to Australia which is also annoying but this mob did. Cheers Gavin.

    My New Brewery Build (pics)

I would have to experiment with lowering the mash return, since finishing it between sick kids, early early AM starts, pregnant wife sore and work hours I haven't had the chance to brew another beer on it yet!! The first brews wort was clear. I did do a thick(ish) mash with about 5cm of water...

    Wort Chiller - Cant decide

I've had DMS in a lager which I boiled for 60mins (Yes I know 90 should be done but for some reason I hadn't) I highly recommend not doing this, was foul ended with a keg being tipped. If the cold break isn't an issue with no chill, It sounds like it's simply a convenience thing with having...

    Wort Chiller - Cant decide

Never done no chill but tasted beers that have been no chilled and they taste nice, How do you go with the Cold Break and no chill? Do you suffer from cloudy beers? Spoilage quicker? Gav
