Oh my gush - a bulk priming problem

My bad on the dme. I have used dme before with the calcs, they come out with the same carbonation compared to using the required amount of table sugar.

Oh my gush - a bulk priming problem

Its quite high in priming sugar. Thats 8.5g/l, I normally don't go over 7g/l. But it depends on how high you ferment the beer and how much fizz you like.

    Cubes and storage

I've done 30 cubes and the only one that stuffed up was when I didn't screw the cap on properly. I have kept full cubes for over 3 months with no noticeable off flavours at all. A great way to brew imo.

    First Brew Woes!

See what happens when you ferment at cooler temps? It stops tasting like a lot of different types of piss. If you ferment at 18-20 it will probably taste like beer. The main thing that is bothering me is why you know so much about urine.

I top cropped the 1007 german ale yeast yesterday when it was trying to escape out the top of the fermenter. I put a scoop of it into a 400 ml starter and it has already grown this much. This yeast is a beast!

    Handy Calculators

I wish I had of known about that problem before I made a yeast starter that I have now pitched.
