    Sediment In Fermenter's Tap

i agree with letting the ferment progress slowly (2 weeks) in the colder weather, but as ARMSTRONG mentioned, unless you have temperature control ( temp controlled fridge ), in summer your beers will ferment withing a week and taste pretty ordinary, and if you left it for a week or 2 dormant at...

    Question Re New Coopers Kit

+ 1 for ditching the new design coopers fermenter, i have never understood what they were going for, or whats wrong with the normal style fermenters. one thing i would say to make your first beer even better, would be to add a bag of hops, any type really just so you know how to get into using...

    Stella Clone

You may need to do a mash with the carapils just in a ratio of 3:1 water to grain. Hold temp at 68degrees for an hour then begin your boil with that liquid but try to add more water to up the volume in the boil. The bigger the boil volume the better Still add your perle at 10 min to end as you...

    Christmas Brew

Thanks manticle, yeah i do get all my grains/wheat cracked, all though i would love to get a mill and crack my own. Christmas Brew

It would depend on how bitter the can is, though if you are not that confident with using hops yet, just make the " hop tea" steep in hot water for 10 mins add to fermenter including the bag for aroma. Worked well for me when i first started years ago.

    Christmas Brew

The cherry onr sounds great, but 500g ginger is a **** load, try 100g first if your only doing 10L, if its not enough in the end you can put a tiny bit of powdered ginger in each bottle when you prime. I would also add some saaz hop aas this is somewhat floral and spicy, would go nicely with...

Coopers Celebration Ale/british Pale Ale Recipe

I am not saying that the pearl barley is a substitute for biscuit malt, i am saying that when you roast it as i do and add it to the last 30 mins of your mash, it will give you similar flavours as biscuit. Such as slight nutty and bready flavours. This is what i do for my beers and they have...
