    Summer Ale/Blonde recipe feedback

All of those hops are high AA%, in a low alcohol beer that can lead to a harsh bitterness that will overpower the malt base. Are you no chilling this brew?

    Summer Ale/Blonde recipe feedback

31 ibu in a 3.6 % Blonde is way over the top for that style, the bitterness will dominate, I'd drop that down to mid 20's at the most.

Castle Hill and NSW State Homebrewing Competition 2014

Hey Grant, while you probably thought that stout was the best beer you have brewed and it probably was a well brewed and tasty drop you have to remember that they are judged to a style and if it was entered into a style that it wasn't suited to it will score badly even if it was a great beer.

It's a well written news article appearing in a newspaper, it must be true and factual and present both sides of the story....surely. I'm with you glenos, there is more to this than the article mentions, but then some people will take anything they read in a newspaper as gospel. I don't know...

How old is this bottle of Guinness?

Actually given that it is a SAB brew I think Grainer is spot on with his post 74 would be a good bet.

How old is this bottle of Guinness?

I think it's actually 1985. The red code on the front denotes the bottling date in reverse, in 1910 the number sequence was changed and the cipher letter L was added. You can read about it here...
