    Dry hopping ?

I've tried dry hop commando but altering the STC1000 down to 2C to cold crash to clear everything is a pain in the arse. I now wrap the hops in Chux Supawipes pulled straight from the pack. Whether it sinks or floats makes no difference.

    What's with the PC ********?

I received an email from Aussie Home Brewer: "Happy Holidays from all of us at Aussie Homebrewer! This Holiday we are really excited to announce that our great partner BrewersFriend.com has offered us 10% off for all our members! Thanks to Brewer's Friend and again Happy Holidays!" WTF is this...

    Australian Lost Beers

We drank Crest Lager in Australia during the beer strike many years ago. Not a bad drop that I can remember.

    Thomas Coopers Brew A IPA

I just tried my Cooper's brew IPA after being bottled for 2 weeks. I used this recipe: 1 tin Coopers Brew A IPA 1.5kg light dry malt US05 yeast Not a bad drink, fairly bitter but that was subdued a bit because of the amount of malt. A better indication will be after another 2 weeks, then I can...

    A Return to Kits

Agree, try and let your beer age for 4 weeks before drinking. Another aspect, I've found if you dry hop, the extra hoppiness starts to diminish after 5-6 weeks, so that brew needs to be drunk fresh, no longer than 4 weeks if you want the full effect. It's all a learning curve.

    A Return to Kits

A return to kits? I've never left them. :chug: I reckon the so-called twang and "kit taste" is all in their imagination. The only time I got that was when brewing years ago without temperature control. Not sure if Coopers has a particular taste as against others because I've only brewed...

    First brew Bootmaker

I simply leave my brews to ferment out for 14 days and then bottle. I don't think there's any need to check the gravity after that period, in my opinion.

    A Return to Kits

I wholeheartedly agree, Beefy. I've brewed nothing but kits and just adding extra hops (either boiled or dry, or both) for different recipes and all have been excellent beers. In fact, when I'm forced to drink at the Club the beer is thin and tastes like crap.

Keg King ROBOBREW 35L SINGLE VESSEL BREWERY

I hope you don't mind me chipping you about your usage of the word "ass". In Australia that's a donkey and it sounds silly used in that context. Please use "arse" as it has much more authority.

Best option for a new fermenter

Correct in every respect. Air locks give you a false negative and can drive you mad waiting for the "bloop bloop". Do yourself a favor and get the newer Coopers FV. :chug:

Beer burning my tonsils out! help!

Was the yeast an orange colour and did the beer end up flat? You could have used a packet of cayenne pepper...

Why do ALL of my can kits taste bad?

I just used a kit recipe. Tin of Coopers Aust. Pale Ale 1kg light dry malt 12g Amarillo hops steeped in boiled water US-05 yeast 25g Nelson Sauvin dry hopped
