Exactly! Then they're useless. I like a bit of hot water cleaning action so all of my stickon's are useless. My fridge is set at 9C and it's reading 22C <_<

I just did a pils with 3x packets of dry lager yeast. Took off like a rocket and is down to 1.011 and still chugging away. Fridge is set to 9C the side of the fermenter is reading 11C

DrGonzo uses the same setup but made his strainer out of a bit of splatterguard frypan thing. I think the idea is, if it gets clogged he can knock it off the tube.

i know what you're talking about Pat my freezer was just below freezing with lagers so i was storing hops and a few bottles of spirits in it, but i did a Belgian Wit at 20C and it must have taken the freezer above 0C Half a 450gm packet of hop plugs in the freezer went mouldy!! :(
