Xmas In July Tasting - VIC

Sorry to hear about the rye IPA's, my test bottle was a bit fizzy but nothing to indicate bottle bombs, and I'm always careful with final gravity readings (especially when I know I'm going to be sharing the bottles). My beer is kept in the garage which stays pretty cold so I guess they must...

2014 Vic Xmas in July case swap

Sorry to hear about the rye IPA's, my test bottle was a bit fizzy but nothing to indicate bottle bombs. My beer is kept in the garage which stays pretty cold so I guess they must have warmed up and started fermenting again. My apologies tro all, I hope my bombs dont take out any innocent...

    12V Little Brown Pump

I managed to snap one of the outlets on my first one, the actual pump itself still works but the outlet case is knackered. Seems a wate to chuck it, would anyone have a stuffed LBP that I could pilfer for parts? I'm sure I could find a bottle or two trade ;)

2014 Vic Xmas in July case swap

I'm really sorry but I have to pull out, I know it's late notice and a pain in the arse (especially as I'm supposed to be helping with the food) but I've got a commitment I cant get out of. I'm forfeiting my place in the swap and in the cube list, and I'll try to get the beers I made for the...

    Copper and Jarrah Braumiser

You must post a pic once it's polished. Make sure it's high def so I can print out a life sized pic of it and pin it over my ghetto system so I can pretend I have bling.

    Cheaper white labs?

Agree dates would be awesome, I think he's had a bit of trouble with the website so not sure if it's something he can easily do. The new email address goes straight to Russell and as I said he's pretty switched on, they know they have some ground to make up response time wise.

    Cheaper white labs?

Core Brewing Concepts has Russell working in the warehouse every day now and he's obsessed with getting orders done as quickly as possible, and at $7.50ish per vial they are hard to beat, email and phone details are on the website No affiliation other than it's my local and I like hanging out...

Wine kits - worth a go?

I've been toying with the idea of making some wine at home, without getting into the arguments about how cheap wine is these days and whether or not it's worth the time to do it yourself, has anyone tried making wine from a kit? I'm talking about kits like the ones they sell at Brewcraft...

    Recipe and method check please.

To sanitise the orange peel I would steam it for 10 minutes (that way you don't boil away the flavour) or soak in a shot or two of vodka for a few days (add the vodka to your beer too so you don't miss out on any flavours) Whenever you use coriander for anything you should always toast it in a...

    Pumpkin Ale Recipe Check please

Had a go at mine last week, I was pleasantly surprised. The high FG gave it a really nice thick mouthfeel, the overwhelming flavour is the spices but you can taste some roast pumpkin there too. I made a traditional pumpkin pie last week so I could see what the yanks were on about and the beer...
