G'day Ken, Ray's Outdoors or BCF sell appropriate burners you can get a 3 ring burner or the Companion Mega Jet which would do double batches if you wanted. The Mega Jet costs $158 at Ray's with the VIP discount. Regards, Andrew.

Chef Inox Premier Stockpot 50L Melb eastern Suburbs, used once.

I would jump at this, but I just got the 80L version. They are good pots nice and thick so no scorching issues and easy to drill for valves/ thermometers. You do need a good burner I use a Companion Mega Jet. This is an absolute bargain. Regards, Andrew.

    2nd BIAB - poor effeciency

Thanks guys, I hd not thought of two pot lids to squeeze the bag, but I like it. The reading was taken at 20C. It started out at about 1.019 when hot, I suppose I could've run it through a calculator to adjust it, but I just waited for it to cool down. Regards Andrew.

    2nd BIAB - poor effeciency

G'day all, Geoff and Dan at the G & G demos have inspired me to give BIAB a go. So over the last month I have assembled some gear and did my first AG BIAB today. I milled my grain twice first at credit card thickness then at hacksaw blade thickness. I did Dr Smurto's Golden Ale. Overshot...

G'day, I just spent 10 minutes typing a reply to this thread, only to somehow lose it. Oh well here goes again LOL. I still have not decided on a kettle, however I found this while surfing last night. Similar price to Craftbrewer one, but with a sandwich base (am I right to think that this...

    Danstar Belle Saison

G'day all, On our way home from Apollo Bay. Went to the Forrest Brewery for lunch yesterday. The honey saison is still available, goes by the name of Pobblebonk (and yes I thought the guy behind the bar was swearing at me). It is one of the best beers I have tasted for a good while and at 7%...

Thanks Edak, taps, shanks, disconnects, gas manifolds, Bev Seal Ultra beer line all coming from The CHI Company as they use the USPS International Flat Rate Boxes so freight on nearly 20kg's was $82.00. The 3 taps were $20 cheaper than here so nearly paid for the freight, and the beer line...

3 mini regulators so I can serve at two pressures and force carbonate/ serve at 3rd pressure if I want. Regs work well but only pass regulated pressure not high pressure.

    Thoughts on BIAB Kettle

G'day all, Thanks for the input. No derail as far as I can see Ecowatson. All useful info regarding a BIAB kettle. Gave me food for thought and that was my motivation for starting the thread. According to the specs the temp probe is 2". With the exposed element are there problems with...

    Thoughts on BIAB Kettle

G'day, Thanks for the quick replys peeps. Econwtson I had not considered an Urn. No need for a burner either. Food for thought. Bum, I did wonder if the thermometer would cause an issue. It was one of my main reasons for posing the question. Thanks again. Regards, Andrew.

    Thoughts on BIAB Kettle

G'day All, Saw the last Demo at G & G a couple of weeks ago. Inspired me to have a crack at BIAB, so I have been scouring the internet for a suitable kettle. I have found these, for about $300 landed in Aus (additional info here) and was wondering if anyone has had any experience with them. I...
