where are you? if your in melbournes east you can get filtered pure pear juice from the orchard on maroondah hwy just outside coldstream heading towards healesville. im pretty sure wild about fruit in chirnside park make it too.

just a note on these grinders. I have one, as does a mate. he shoots and butchers his own animals and is very happy with his. Mine started to mince metal out the front when i switched it on. it had been in storage beyond warantee so i had to have a mate modify it on a lathe to make it useable...

I tried growing in pots last year. I bought 2 small rhisomes, quality mix and potted them in 40 liter pots. by the end of summer they were realy struggeling. i couldnt keep them wet. we went way for 2 weeks in feb and i left instructions that they should be watered but it didnt happen so that...

ive had a few goes in the past, but not with a temperature controller. the results are always very thin, much like a drinking yogurt. Ive never found what went wrong.

looks great. I am also looking at boilding something like this. A couple of questions. Using a bag do you still get clearer wert than just using a bag? or does all the sediment still pass through into the boil? Do you sparge at all? Ive been wondering about all these brewmiester type builds...

Nup. In the morning ill take a picture of the mat stuck to the metal. the mat itself has gone in the bin as it melted so much it becale useless. Mines a cheapo old urn i found at a market, but if id payed the $$ for a BM i might be more concerned.

Ive used one of the cheap camp mats. I found over the course of a few brews the mat began to warp and distort. It adheres strongly to the sides of the urn to the point that even a paint scraper wont remove it. I dont know if they are all the same but ill be finding something else to insulate...
