    Sloppy Marmalade Porter

Beautiful drop sim. Just the slightest hint of fruit to go with a very tasty porter.

Hopz Craft Beer Cigars - Which Ipas Do You Recommend To Drink With It?

Something with centennial in it if you can manage. I tried it whilst drinking a LC Big Dipper which seemed to go down pretty well.

    Qld Beer Week 16-22 July

Was a good idea. I think the best score was 3/5.

    Qld Beer Week 16-22 July

The Boring Beer Festival at Scratch was another great night. Very relaxed and plenty of good brews. I think the hardest night was had by those that had to spot the difference between Carlton Dry, Hahn Super Dry, Tooheys Extra Dry, Pure Blonde and XXXX Gold.

Fair enough, I'll definitely be keeping an ear to the ground for that one.

    Soaking Raspberries In Vodka?

I currently have an oatmeal stout fermenting away that I intend to rack onto some raspberries. I've been doing a bit of research into what prep I should do before adding the berries as far as sterilising and preserving the flavours. The threads here on AHB have definitely been helpful but there...

    Mount Tamborine Breweries

I did get a chance to sample their green iced tea and the black, which hasn't been released yet. I'm not into iced to tea so it's hard to give any specific comments. Both were fairly sweet but didn't taste horrible. They shouldn't have too much trouble finding a market for it considering the...

    Whats In The Glass (commercial)

Just tried the Mudgee Porter tonight. It was nice until the sour twang of an infected beer hit my taste buds. Couldn't even finish it. No gushing but it was definitely off. The Bright Blowhard Pale Ale made up for it though. Beautiful hoppy nose with a good malt backbone and bitterness.

    Oktoberfest Brisbane 2012

I'd definitely recommend the German Club event, they serve more beer than just Paulaner and Bitburger.
