    Infinium

I'd risk the $20. I should have looked out for it when I was in the US. In situations like this I usually convince a mate that splitting a bottle would be a good idea.

    Infinium

Saw it in Nectar to for $38. As tempting as it is to try the product of these two breweries I find it hard to justify that much money for one bottle of beer.

    Archive Beer Boutique (brisbane)

I noticed two interesting events coming up at Archive posted on their various facebook accounts and thought I'd pass on the info to those unaware: and No affiliation etc, just looks like a good time to me and I'll be making an effort to get to at least one of these events.

    If You Owned A Brewpub

I was in that very pub on the 4th of Jan for some birthday beers. The dubbel was indeed amazing, the oatmeal stout was pretty great too.

    Bad Beer

Well it is a witbier so you'd expect it to be similar to hoegaarden, just with the added lemon flavour. It's not my favourite beer in the world but I found it drinkable. I think Barons did a better job with their Black Wattle Ale though.

Sam Adams/what's Not Available In Oz

The most common over here is the boston lager. I've also seen the black lager... that's about it as far as I've seen.

    Tosser's Extra Dry

I just find it amusing that Lion Nathan considers 'tossers' under their trade mark.

    Bavarian Bier Cafe Brisbane

I haven't had a hofbrau dunkel in over 3 years... definitely going to drop by this place soon.

Whats On Tap At The Platform Bar - Brissy

Taps currently look like this: Burleigh 28 Pale Ale Stone & Wood Draught Erdinger Dunkel JS Pilsner Stone & Wood Kellerbier Moneiths Sparkling Ale Monteiths Cider Can't remember #8, it wasn't anything remarkable though. The kellerbier is tasting nice, reminds me of my days in Munich.

Pubs And Breweries In Byron Bay

I had the chance to visit Stone & Wood and the Byron Bay Brewery on Saturday. It was great to see a small setup like Stone & Wood and Jaime was a great guide with plenty of interesting facts about brewing to share with us. The draught ale out of the fermenter was a definite treat. We didn't get...

Whats On Tap At The Platform Bar - Brissy

Just got back from the Platform... B2 is quite tasty and definitely worth the trip... not as intense as I was expecting but my only point of comparison is Basha. I enjoyed the Bier De Garde, not a style I'm very familiar with but it went down quite well.

    Whats In The Glass (commercial)

Mikkeller 1000 IBU I was expecting to be smacked in the face by the bitterness but was surprised at how well balanced this beer is. It is very bitter as you'd expect but no more than most imperial or double IPAs. I found it pretty difficult to taste much under the bitterness so I don't have...

    Feral Hop Hog In Bottles

Would love to see a few bottles make it up to Brissie.

    Lc Oatmeal Stout

You can buy bottles from Nectar in Brisbane, I picked one up today. As far as oatmeal stouts go it wasn't as intensely flavoured as I was expecting. The roasty/biscuit flavours were mild but noticeable and definitely enjoyable. Definitely a tasty drop and I'll be going back to Nectar to pick up...

Whats On Tap At The Platform Bar - Brissy

I got that word from one of the bartenders, so I'd say it's reasonably reliable. Whether the place will be open or not is anyone's guess...

Word is the rogues will be on tap next Friday too.

Whats On Tap At The Platform Bar - Brissy

I don't think it's a problem as long as the Platform continues to source craft brews from all over the place. As much as I love a glass of LCPA, burleigh hef or white rabbit, it is nice to get some meantime or mikkeller off the tap every now and then.

Whats On Tap At The Platform Bar - Brissy

The problem with Archive is they only do Australian craft brews. Whilst there are certainly a number of great Aussie drops out there the locations we can get kegs of international craft beer in Brisbane are severely limited.
