    White Corn?

    Ah, totally different then :)

    White Corn?

I think that's the American term for MaltoDextrin. If it's the same then it's used for adding body to beer. I used it early on when I first started brewing but haven't now for years. Waste of time I reckon.

    Grand Ridge Moonshine & Supershine

I've also had an infected mixed 6 pack, a few years ago though. Last year got another for Christmas and they were all very nice. I particulary like the Gippsland Gold.

New (cheaper) Perlick "perl" Forward Seating Beer Taps

I bought 4 of the Perlick 575SS taps, which is the creamer style with the push back handle at $34 per tap, plus $33.35 for postage, from the Ebay link that has been posted in this thread. The tap pours great, better I think than the Ventmatic's I was using, which for those that don't know is a...

    Plastic Fermenter Cleaning & Prepearation.

I just use water and then the likes of starsan. Water and starsan before using the fermenter and then I just clean with water and a sponge when I've finished a brew and emptied a fermenter. Then water and starsan again before using the fermenter. Never had a problem.

What Is The Fermentor Of Choice?

I use 30L plastic pails. Easy to clean, seals nicely and I can fit two side by side in my fermenting fridge.

    Ring Pull Bottle Caps...

Like this eh? I hate to admit it but sometimes I really do struggle with twist tops. The only pull tab caps I've seen are on those Bundaberg ginger beer bottles.

    How Sweet Is Too Sweet?

Where did you get this kit from? I've not tried Knappstein but I've heard and read the rave reviews. Even so, it's probably hard for a kit to replicate it.

    First Pilsener

This is the main reason I hardly ever brew lagers. They just take too damn long! If I Wasn't so busy and could get ahead of myself with stock I'd be right. I've had a couple of Ezybrew 5 litre jobs (Cascade Premium Lager and James Squire Pilsener) in the fridge for around 3 months now because...

    Whats In The Glass (commercial)

Jimmy, is this the same beer? http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/3349/12627 The bottle is different but the brewery is in Burton-on-Trent Staffordshire. It certainly rates well.

    Head Retention

I've got some, more out of curiosity than anything else. It's all personal preference but I'm one of those that consider it cheating and I'm pretty much too ashamed to use them on my guests:)

    Head Retention

Aside from the CPA tin, you don't say what else your adding. If your using 1kg sugar you can't expect much. Possibly a Headmaster glass will help. You really need to add some malt. Even a 50/50 mix of malt and dextrose instead of sugar will help things a long way. 200gms or so of dry wheat...

    Vb Is Rubbish Right?

Surely it's true in the case of VB. The last time I had VB was at a Christmas lunch function where it was served to tables in longnecks. A look around the various tables and all you could see was VB in glasses without any trace of a head. There's been occasions when my own brew has a hard time...

    Two words.. Headmaster Glasses.

    Purchased A Kegerator

I've had a thermometer in there and I'm sure it only got down to about 4 degrees. The beer itself may be cooler since it's in a big stainless steel keg.

    Purchased A Kegerator

The compressor in Screwtops (from Craftbrewer) is an LG. The compressor in mine (from Pinnacle) is also an LG. I believe the fridges are exactly the same unit. I seem to have been lucky in that I had no problems with my delivery and everything was included. Even though I'm not using the twin...

    Purchased A Kegerator

I don't like the look of that. Try this thread, you'll see pictures of Screwtops and pictures of mine. http://www.aussiehomebrewer.com/forum/inde...showtopic=30635

    Purchased A Kegerator

Since I'm using an Andale font with mine I can't get a third 19L keg in there because the font goes down into the fridge. But I can get a 12L keg in there as the third keg and it's as round as the 19L kegs I have. Are you using 19L Cornelius kegs or something else? A friend of mine has some...

    Air Lock Liquid

I tried Starsan when I switched to it as my sanitiser but found my airlocks empty after the Starsan had bubbled/frothed away to nothing.

    I don't think I ever got a tracking number.
