Ah, thought that might be the case. Easy enough for me to buy the bits and pieces anyway.

    RecipeDB - DrSmurto's Golden Ale

Maybe I'm reading this wrong... Are you saying that Beerbelly sell packs like Grumpy's Boston Cream Masterbrew and they have a version of your Golden Ale? I had a look at their site but couldn't find anything.

Boiling 12 Litres On A Gas Stovetop

Warmish tap water. Ooops, the lid is off. Maybe next time I'll boil some in the kettle first. Thanks Sammus.

Boiling 12 Litres On A Gas Stovetop

I reckon I've been trying to boil 12 litres now for near on 45 minutes in a 20L aluminium stock pot. I'm starting to wonder if it can manage it. Can it? Or do I need to get one of those outdoor burners?

    Best Thermometer For Extract

That was the kind I had. Are these ok to just leave in amongst the steeping grains, metal sheath and all?

    Best Thermometer For Extract

What a coincedence.. I'm brewing right now, a Coopers Sparking Ale extract recipe, which calls for steeped grains, and when I went to take my thermometer out of it's metal case, it was broken in half. It's been in that case since I've had it and has probably been broken the whole time. Looks...

    Everyone Should Make This

If I understand it correctly I believe the first addition is bittering, the second is flavour and the third is aroma. Is that right?

    Everyone Should Make This

I kegged Neill's recipe today and whoa, what a huge step up from kits, the 3kg jobs included. Even better I reckon than the fresh worts I've tried in the past. I can't get over how good it smells :) So I've ordered a bigger pot from Allquip and next up will be the Coopers Sparkling recipe and...

Will Perlick Taps Fit Andale Font.

My Perlicks are on an Andale font but I'm not sure if the fittings are the same.. Here's a pic. The recent high winds have left my kegerator a mess :(

    My New Fermenting Freezer

What a good way to stack your kegs. Will have to do that myself.

    New Perlick Taps!

Yes I wouldn't bother. Backwards and forward motion is so close it's harder to get it right in the middle after a pour, so you'll get more dripping. Besides, you can get the same creamer effect by pulling slightly forward on the handle.

Where To Buy No Rinse Sanitiser

As has been mentioned, "Don't fear the foam" It breaks down and becomes yeast food. I shake out as much of it as I can but what's left I just leave there.

    Kegging Setups

Like this? http://www.grainandgrape.com.au/product_in...roducts_id=7369 I have one connected to my ferment fridge. In the years I've had it I've never had a problem.

    Everyone Should Make This

Thanks HB79 and Power Wolf. So Power Wolf, you don't even put it through a strainer before pouring it into the fermenter?

    Everyone Should Make This

Just a quick question regarding extract brewing... Do most people use hop bags or just throw the pellets in the pot? If using bags, do you remove them when you add the next addition of hops or leave them all in there at the same time? Thanks.

    White Corn?

Is it like the powdered corn at the link below? http://www.hbrews.com/beer.php?menu_id=113..._cart_id=193663 I know the yanks call MaltoDextrin corn something so I thought it may have been the same stuff.
