    GUTEN

"Instructions" is a strong word to use here, you've discussed replacing the switch with Leyther earler in this very thread. https://aussiehomebrewer.com/threads/guten.94389/page-31 Also here you discuss replacing the switch and placing it elsewhere on the unit...

    Yup, you already said that, and I already answered;

It's not a question of whether or not KK would do it though. You're avoiding my question again by droning on about the differences in warranty vs guarantee. Thankfully others have taken to answering the simple question, which is, will in-warranty Gutens have their KegKing warranties voided if...

I thought there were more than just the two faulty switches.. Maybe not. I'll take a look later today.

Yes I'm less concerned about opening up the Robo as I am about people replacing the Guten switch - but I wanted to note that this is an issue which could concern both units (and trying to keep the thread on-topic too)

    GUTEN

Agreed, nobody here can answer it, I'm hoping brewers throw that question to KK before pulling apart their Guten and causing themselves some trouble. Those brewers can hopefully report back on their experience to help others. Seeing as this is a known defect I would hope that KK can apply a...

No you've not, but you've also never specified that it should be done *outside* warranty. People are doing it and nobody's mentioned the implications on their warranty by doing so. Same goes with pulling the Robo apart to check loose fittings etc. It needs to be clarified.

I'm not referring to out of warranty units. I'm referring to new Gutens

Doesn't really answer my question though. I threw that question up in the Guten thread.

    GUTEN

Discussions elsewhere about warranties prompted a question that I think is better suited here. A common fault in the Guten is some of the electricals, in particular a dodgy switch. Purchasers of these units are apparently buying a replacement switch in advance, just waiting for the original to...

Does repairing the Guten yourself - as you've recommended in various threads due to the dodgy switches - void that warranty?

    Keg Issues

Beer line length can heavily affect pour rate. Do you use the same length of beer line when connecting to this keg? I know you swapped it between gas manifolds but if you've not yet tried swapping between beer line & tap I suggest you give that a try.

Interesting, I can't find any information about their warranty policy. Since you know what it is can you please link to it? If it's two years, then no, it's not outside warranty and a repair is in order

On a more constructive note, get in touch with Kegking. They have a warranty to honour

Yeah, no electrical problems with the Guten. Where's that sarcasm font..

How To Open An Asahi Style 19l Keg

Pretty sure Asahi aren't insinuating that you personally stole the kegs tugger (although your immediately defensive attitude does suggest it). They know their kegs are in circulation on Gumtree, Facebook Marketplace etc and many people aren't aware before purchase that they are in fact buying...

Dodgy email supposedly from CraftBrewer - beware

It's continuing fallout of the hack which occurred some time ago. The user details which were stolen are out there in the WWW, no getting them back. Rest assured however that their new website will have resolved these security issues moving forward. The take home messages are: - Craftbrewer is...

    EOI PRESSURE RELIEF VALVE.

I actually ended up hooking a venting line onto the blowtie and taking advantage of the vented CO2 by using it to dispense a keg full of starsan into another keg, leaving me with a fully O2 purged keg. Saved me wasting the bottle gas.

    EOI PRESSURE RELIEF VALVE.

Fair points. I did that as well. Had my three FVs linked, one gauge/valve, set to 10PSI and checked it regularly since I'm new to push fittings and was concerned about leaks. Held a steady 10PSI for 24hrs after which I upped to 15PSI and it held there too.
