DC82, out of curiosity, whats your Golden Amber Ale? I can't stop picturing pouring a bottle of JS Golden Ale and JS Amber Ale into a glass :P I'm intrigued

Mainly to prevent oxidisation if the cube gets moved around therefore splashing internally. I'm sure there are probably a couple of other reasons too.

I would honestly choose a bottle of water but if that's not an option, i'd have to say VB or as others have mentioned VB Original Ale as it's "Traditionally Kettle Hopped" :rolleyes: or something like that.

I've only used them a couple of times but have liked the results. IIRC I used them as flavouring additions each time. I'm currently growing EKGoldings at the moment and it took off alot quicker than the Hersbrucker!

The only real shocker I had was brew #2. A 2-Can MSB Oatmeal Stout and it turned out absolute *****. watery as all buggery, sweet and overall generally *****. I'll pour it all out when I need the bottles again :lol:

I've only used a couple of different grain suppliers (JW and Powells). I'm planning on going back to JW once I finish with my Powells, due to efficiency probs, but as its cheaper, it doesn't cost much for a couple of extra kilos if you decided to have a play around with Powells. I am yet to try...

I suppose it would have a similar result if you stole something else. At the end of the day, the police or Lion Nathan etc aren't going to care what you're using it for, all that will matter to them is that it was stolen. I would think theft is theft in there eyes.
