I can get about 7-8 milk crates full of older sealable CUB brown longneck bottles if anyone in the Newcastle region is after any. They are $5 for a crate and i don't actually know how many is in each crate or if that price is anygood but i thought i'd let you guys know. Cheers

Yeah they are 25ltr kegs. I have about 3 of them i acquired some time ago. Does anyone have any idea how to open these? They seem to have a sort of screw in connection but not like a regular thread.

I got it from Mark's. I really didn't get the right price, i paid $75 for it a bung and a airlock. I'm sure i could have got it cheaper anywhere but Mark always either rounds the price down or give me stuff for free so i'm not complaining.

I went and bought a glass carboy on saturday and its awesome! i don't know why i didn't get 1 or 2 previously. I guess there is no real advantage to it but i just love the fact that you can see it all going on without having to open the fermenter. I also can't see how you can have an seal...

One of those huge glass carboys would be awesome! But a normal sized one would do for now. Last time i was at the charlestown shop i didn't see any, but i will drop in on the way home and see. $40 bucks is a bit rich though.
