    Fermzilla

Won't these just pop out the second you ferment under pressure? Interested to hear your experience after you use it. I can't say that any of the dents in the unboxing video would worry me unduly, but I understand everyone is different. For me, there's just so much clever design that's gone...

FS: Pick up Lyndhurst Vic- Grain mill and motor

@Truman42 you wouldn't consider putting this in your carry on luggage for me when you fly up to Sydney? Looks awesome and I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

    KegLand Questions and Answers

@Reg Holt posted this on another thread, but one of these available in Oz would be awesome, especially if you can get it to fit to the Fermzilla with an adaptor and your work in progress unitank natively. One end attaches to a mason jar with a silicon seal, the other end to a unitank via a...

Great suggestions @soreba These are all on my wish list as well, especially a stainless unitank.

Raspberry Beer - Counteracting Tart Flavours

x2. Makes it nearly as civilised as another forum I know. Shame that @MHB doesn't frequent there as well. The punters and the moderators are much more grown up, as are the conversations.

Good micro-breweries to visit in Sydney?

No worries whatsoever @Truman42 Marrickville is well and truly gentrified these days. There are also plenty of great live music venues in the area (Red Rattler, Camelot Lounge, Marrickville Bowlo, The Factory to name just a few), so there's pretty much always people wandering around.

Good micro-breweries to visit in Sydney?

@Truman42 what types of beer do you like and how long have you got? Grifter is a safe recommendation - I rate their pale ale as the best in Australia and you won't find a bad beer in the place. Don't leave Sydney without going there. If you like something a bit wilder (literally) and sour...

C'mon Mark, he could be the ultimate FIFO worker.

    Water test

Right here. https://www.sydneywater.com.au/SW/water-the-environment/how-we-manage-sydney-s-water/safe-drinking-water/water-analysis/index.htm Click on home brewers and you're away. If you're using a FWK, you don't need to worry about your water (especially if you're using Sydney tap water)...

    Stir plate stirrer bar

Solid advice right there. I made the same mistake once. Never again. It's also worthwhile tipping your flask on an angle so the stir bar is sliding gently down the side rather than dropping onto the bottom of the flask and possibly cracking it.

    Stir plate stirrer bar

I boil mine. It's a KL bar like yours. Never had a problem. I just pour my starter carefully as I get towards the end. I don't use magnets or any other tools, just my eyes and a steady hand. I've never had it drop out of my flask.

High ABV Saison - Candi Syrup

I brewed a saison earlier in the year using 3724 that I added half a kilo of dextrose to in a 23 litre batch. It finished up 7.9% ABV and was delicious.

    KegLand Questions and Answers

@KegLand-com-au any idea when the oxygen regulator will be back in stock? I'm keen to try the pure O2 kit.

    Australian Barley Wine

Gotcha. As you can tell, I didn't read the earlier posts from this thread. You could always think of it as a yeast from far, far north of Australia. ;)

    Australian Barley Wine

Why not try some kveik to ferment? It'll finish fermentation faster and as a bonus, will condition much faster too. Please note, I haven't done this yet myself, just going off what David Heath and a number of brewers on the other forum have said. I'm going to give it a whirl with a RIS in the...

    65 litre RoboBrew Thread

What's the issue? I don't have a FB account and have zero interest in opening one. I've had my R3 for just over a year and run 36 batches on it, all problem free with the exception of one stuck sparge. I've only had my Brewzilla 65 for a few weeks and have run 2 batches - likewise problem...

    Question for all tilt users

Thanks @jollster101. So do you have to be in your garage for the Tilt app to work? I'm assuming it connects to your mobile via bluetooth, so the answer would be yes if that is the case. I'm just not sure how the app works...

    Question for all tilt users

David Heath reported in one of his videos that it worked fine with a SS FV, but I van't confirm first hand that it will work. I'm also looking at grabbing a couple and have a separate question - I hope you do'n mind me tacking it on here @beer gut I brew in an underground garage and have zero...
