My Mates Want To Pay For Me To Make Beer For Them

I like this idea. Very true and maybe they may not like your beer and then not give you any money or whinge because it was not right. Too much stress mate just get them on the brewing train and help them out with the start, I am sure they will like this much better. Cheers Chucka

    Christmas Message Must Watch !

It is not only you that you are responsible for, if you provide drinks to your mates make sure they don't get in their cars. Give them an alternative to stay overnight or call them a cab. I liked the old QLD slogan from a few years ago. "Mates don't let mates drink and drive. " Take care this...

What Has Or What Is Stopping You From Going All Grain?

    Why Not Biab

+1 Not as many BIABs under my belt but very happy so far with how easy it is to get a very tasty beer for not to much outlay. I tried my borther-in-laws K& K the other day and could taste the difference. All he needs is a bit of guidance on adding some spec grains and extra hops and then I am...

    Brads 6 Keg Kegarator

Why not make the Piano into a Mini bar. I think Home and Gardens did one a couple of issues ago. I have the mag somewhere. Will try and find it, maybe give you some ideas. The Piano would make a great kegarator or even serving bar you could run your lines through. Just a thought. Cheers Chucka...

    Rice In Mashes

I have done the cereal mash. I used 10% of my grain bill and then I boiled the rice like I would normally do an absorption method for cooking rice. Once it started boiling I turned it off and wrapped it up. Left it on the stove overnight as did this after arvo shift. So when I did my mash in the...

AHB Articles: Using Glad wrap instead of a lid

Thanks for this Manticle. Since I saw in a thread a while ago that you used Glad wrap I have started to use it as I can fit my fermenter into my fridge easier. So a big thanks and yeah it is less to clean up after fermenting. Cheers Chucka

    Double Dough In?

Hi MHB Thanks for all this info. I gave this a go on my last BIAB and it seemed to work really well. What I did was to Boil the rice and 10% of the grain bill, once it got to boiling I turned it off and took it off the heat. Wrapped it all up for the night. When I woke in the morning and ready...
