    KegLand Questions and Answers

Me too. 1 more and we have a sack! @KegLand-com-au you may be right on the overuse statement but it's 5g/L right? I generally capture my water that passes through the cfc chiller and use this to soak my kegs until I need them. So that would be 95g per 19L keg...

Just at home. Was thinking more along the a bulk buy though. I understand there are some other ingredients in the PBW that would effect the pricing but a $25kg sack of sodium percarbonate can be found for $80. I was thinking closer to the $100 mark would entice quite a few people.

@KegLand-com-au any chance of doing bulk containers/sacks of PBW at bulk pricing?

All About Canning - Cannular Can Seamers and More...

Suppose that's what happens when you make america great again and get into a trade war with China! Sorry - couldn't help myself. I'd imagine Covid is causing nightmares with distribution.

hi @KegLand-com-au do you think the flat bottom fermzillas would be ok with an enclosed transfer? Bought a couple for ageing sours, bretts etc..

Cryo hops in the keg don't seem to have the same degradation issues as pellets.... maybe a consideration for the mesh size

    KegLand Questions and Answers

hey @KegLand-com-au any thoughts on grain conditioning with your mill? I know you would generally tighten the gap if you condition - is this still the case or something your team have worked on during brew days and have you found any efficiency gains?

FS (Bris): Spike unitank CF10 and dry hop airlock

Hey good luck with the sale. I have a SS Brewtech unit and the stainless steel unitanks really do take it up a notch in terms of quality. Try gumtree too - I sold a homemade unitank on there a while back after no success on here.

Hi @KegLand-com-au is it possible to buy the parts for the re-circulation arm of the brewzilla up to the point of the camlock? Thinking about retrofitting a digiboil with a pump.

Nice, that's a very smart design which can be easily retrofitted. Well played!

I eventually made a screen for the canner. Works really well. Files located below if anyone want to make their own. 3D STL files & dxf file for the acrylic screen located here: https://1drv.ms/f/s!AkcB3oxki0kijrpJaND8rYZwv-iP6g The two wedge pieces were designed so that the SBR12 linear rail...

    The NEIPA thread

I've found my NEIPA beers benefit from a decent cold crash / conditioning. Early on they can taste real bitter (hop burn) as you are literally drinking hops! Give it a while to see if it calms down.

    The NEIPA thread

I brewed this beer early to mid May, photo taken today. I would probably mash a bit higher next time and also go with a 60min of the Amarillo to reduce the whirlpool quantity. Otherwise I'm pretty happy with it. I'm guessing you could probably reduce the dry hop somewhat and still have a similar...

    The NEIPA thread

Sorry for the late reply. No I can't say I've noticed any difference in mouthfeel. I reckon a lot of that comes from the water chemistry. I got my malted oats from beerco along with the gy54 yeast which I think works best. This one has stayed hazy from start to finish if that floats your boat...

    KegLand Questions and Answers

Question on the brewzilla 65 pump. First brew and I was chilling my wort through your counter flow chiller with a hose on the outlet rising approximately 1m into my fermentation tank. The flow was at a trickle taking approximately 40minutes to cool a 40l batch. Do you reckon I had a blockage in...

    The NEIPA thread

In terms of a stuck mash I've had massive improvements by conditioning the grain and using malted oats. Last hop combo was Idaho 7, Ekuanot & Amarillo which was really good. Wai-iti is very nice for a dry hop too.
