    Anhc Low Abv Brew Comp

If the winning brewer(s) are not attending they will have their beer produced commercially and served at the conference ( with all due credit, pomp and ceremony). Bragging rights will be yours nationally... Conference delegates are eligible for some other outstanding prizes. that means 2nd and...

    Anhc Low Abv Brew Comp

Completely blind tastings, judged by the committee and (if I can find a volunteer) independently stewarded. That should keep it ll on the straight and narrow :)

    Anhc Low Abv Brew Comp

Thanks Revox, Yes folks, we've thought long and hard, and given the conference organisation is all about doing things to benefit the homebrewing community at large we've extended the competition to anyone who want to have a shot. There are some catches around the prizes though (we do need to...

    Anhc Low Abv Brew Comp

Good point guys - we'll get an entry form sorted out as well as arrangements for posted entries. FWIW we've had good results with beers being sent down to us for other competitions...

Byo Magazine Bulk Subscriptions For Clubs

Melbourne Brewers have had a great relationship with Brad at BYO for years now, and we still get the advantage of the bulk price. We get the shipment in one shot and then distribute out to the club members at meetings to keep the costs to an absolute minimum. Les - hope you're coming to ANHC...

    Anhc Low Abv Brew Comp

The Oklahoma laws are ABV, but this comp is ABV. Nice pick-up Felten, Andy

    Anhc Low Abv Brew Comp

3% sounds like you can't get a tasty beer, but when I was over in Oklahoma they proved me wrong - they have a 3.2% alcohol limit on beverages served on premises over there (or at least did when I was there), so the brewers at the Bricktown Brewery had become super clever with what they were...

    Millmaster Gear Guard

Yeah, figured as much, but thought I'd see if there were any other poor souls out there ;)

    Millmaster Gear Guard

Hey all, A couple of years ago Sully pulled together a bulk buy of gear guards which he designed for the Millmaster grain crushers... and mine didn't show *sob*. So I'm thinking of organizing another bulk build. I don't have a quote yet, but want to know roughly how much interest there is out...

    1/2" Stainless Motorised Ball Vales

Looks like the same valves I bought about 24 months ago Andy, possibly even the same mob in China? If anyone's wondering, they're still working a treat and I haven't had any problems with them. I went for the simpler open/close mechanism, but that shouldn't affect the outcome. On your mains...

Both are open house, but conference delegates will gain free entry for both events... Andy

    Doppelbock

Yes - laugh while you can... the beer that is a mere shadow of what it should have been will be unveiled at the Club dinner, and then you'll see that your jest is closer to the truth than you would care to believe... :) ANdy

    Anhc 2012

FGZ - Unfortunately the committee has opted to stay out of the Saturday only area, worried that people might want to go to both days but miss out because the capacity of the two days is the same (i.e. we'd have empty seats on the Friday). I'll rais it at the meeting next week for you. Those...

    Anhc 2012

Hey Guys, Thanks for that - I'd received a call out from G&G too that people were asking the same question. Bugger of an oversight, so sorry. Just by way of confirmation, everyone's been right - the main guts of the conference will be at the William Angliss Conference Centre. Cheers! Andy

    Anhc 2012

Hey Folks, Just a heads up for anyone organizing state qualifiers for AABC this year. As we have in the past we're still supporting the best and brightest homebrewers in the country by offering a free Alpha Amylase package to the Champion Brewer in each state qualifier. Just get in touch and...

    Anhc 2012

Hey everyone, it's great to see so many people jumping in to grab those early bird tickets. They'll be available for the next 6 weeks, and we won't be extending the offer beyond that. Like Thirsty said, I'm really impressed by the job the program committee have done to pull together an...

    Cpbf

I use a Phil's CPBF with good success. The hassle with the ones you've linked for me are that they'll only work with threaded bottles... at least that's what the description indicates to me, but I've never used one, so I'll leave it for someone with experience to comment further. Andy

    Fruit Tingle Taste In Wort

If it's happily bubbling along and you don't need the fermenter space, just let it go and see what you get. Worst that could happen is you get a drain-cleaner, and you never know, it might just be one of those "special" brews... :)

    Braumeister Pump Issue

Reminds me of the old days trying to start my old '74 Corolla in the mornings... pour a bucket of hot water over the engine and hit the starter motor solidly with a hammer, then everything ticked over fine :) Andy
