I have gone back to the Helix on my Frankenfather & on the last batch (Australian Pale Ale) chilled it down using the counter flow and everything went ok. So I agree - don’t write off the helix!

Like WEAL said both KK & KL import them. I got one from Country Brewer Toormina & the other from Cheekypeak Brewery Wodonga (they had a special with the stainless pump head). Both are KK brand by the way.

The 25 watt pumps are far more powerful than the fitted pumps (Guten, Brewzilla, Grainfather are 6 watt). I use a different type of whirlpool device on my “hybrids” and the 25 watt pumps keep things moving!

I just enlarged the hole in mine to take 1/2 inch fittings! I didn’t bother with a 3 piece. If you moved the valve from open to closed and open it will get sanitised
