    KegLand Questions and Answers

I think ATM the problem is that KL don't have a full production line going. And once they do get it up and running, large quantities will be shipped off to Europe and North America. It will probably be quite a while before the Fermzilla becomes a shelf item.

    KegLand Questions and Answers

My vote is for the fermenting fridge. I hold grave fears for the longevity of mine. I picked it up off the side of the road 11-12 years ago -- reckon I've got any chance of a warranty claim .

Using co2 bottles in different locations?

OK, so buy a bulkhead fitting. Disconnect the hose for your current setup completely at the regulator, remove the fitting from your regulator and insert the bulkhead fitting. Then attach a gas quick disconnect to the end of your existing keg setup, and another gas quick disconnect to your...

Using co2 bottles in different locations?

No. They can be disconnected, but it's not what they're designed for. Also, you'll get sick of fiddling about with the duotight fitting pretty quickly . Depends how you have your regulator setup. If you just have the standard length of gas line with a corny keg quick disconnect on the...

    Keg King S/Steel Uni tank

A couple of years ago I pulled my valves apart while i was rearranging some plumbing. Not a speck in any of them after a decade of all-grain brewing (OK, on the HLT valve that shouldn't be a surprise ). One problem is that people use these valves in ways they are not designed to be...

Weird gas leak - but where from?

Submerge everything you can in a bucket of water, and look for bubbles forming in there.

Malts at Wholesale Prices - One day ONLY!

I might make some time to drop in:bigcheers:. What's happening to CB then? New warehouse location, closing down entirely, or....

KK - 'Fermentasaurus' conical PET fermenter

ATM I suspect a lot of people are buying them who couldn't (for some reason) use the original Fermentasaurus, hence the rush of sales. After KL finally release the gen 2, and the initial rush is over to get hold of those, it will be interesting to see which of the 3 (original, snub, or zilla)...

    Really small kegerator

What size Engel? The height would be a pretty tight squeeze (at best) in all the Engels I've seen.

    Really small kegerator

Correction: it's not any smaller physically, it just has a lower cooling capacity. So the 25 is indeed the better choice.

    Really small kegerator

Not at all what I was thinking, but a good start. I'd probably be more inclined to go for the smaller model though. Still not cheap. https://www.grainandgrape.com.au/products/category/search/7BRAU%20BEER%20DISPENSER%20PYG--lindr-pygmy-25-beer-cooler-dispenser Apparently there is an even...

    Really small kegerator

Not being a viable idea due to the lack of a suitable fridge was where my thoughts were heading too. Pity. That fridge is an absorption type (think 3 way caravan fridge, but with only the ability to run on 240V). No compressor, so it would struggle to control temperatures when the ambient got...

First Brewday. Still married? Wort Infection?

Might get some more of it out. Easiest to just let it settle out with gravity, then rack the cleared beer off the top.

    Really small kegerator

Not really what I was after -- can't just plug it in and leave it run. I have used a plaster bucket instead of a wheely bin, to keep things small. I was imagining one of those tiny little motel fridges, put to a better use than storing 200ml of UHT for months at a time. Sadly, all the ones I...

    Really small kegerator

This afternoon I've been bumming around doing odd-jobs in the brewery :drinkingbeer:, and I was struck by a brilliant idea. A small kegerator -- I'm talking a single party keg type of setup. Inspired by the thought (and a few beers), I hastened to the Googles and tried to find a suitable...

Gas quick disconnect to disconnect joiner?

How about 2 of these https://www.kegland.com.au/ball-lock-post-with-1-4-inch-bulkhead-assembly-gas.html joined with one of these. https://www.kegland.com.au/1-4-inch-bsp-stainless-internal-threaded-socket.html

    Keg King kegerator series 4

Something like this. https://www.jaycar.com.au/mains-power-meter/p/MS6115 Plenty of different brands out there (though half of them are probably the same units with a different sticker) Quite handy for working out just what is using the power when the bills suddenly come in higher than expected.

    Are grain sacks waterproof

Not a specific answer, but every farm I've ever been to stores bagged grain inside, and almost always above ground level. I know part of that is for handling convenience (rather than lifting it onto utes trays/truck beds), but I certainly wouldn't trust the bags' waterproofness.

    Racking lager

I've racked anything between two days after pitching, and two weeks after pitching. Can't say I've ever noticed any difference in the final beer. Even if you used gelatin and crash chilled before transferring, there will still be plenty of yeast present in the secondary, and/or for natural...
