    L/Kg would be total tun but with 1 V the dead space is greater due to the element so weather this should be taken into account not sure Hopefully someone will chime in on this on how they go about it Might measure the volume to the top of the element & subtract this from the total mash litres...

    Just keged & drinking APA & very happy used Notto yeast 1052 to 1014 -13 Fermented out the bulk after 3 days so cranked pressure up to 30 psi kegged after 10 days Tipped another APA on top 1054 to 1012 in 3 days at 5 psi so cranked valve but only got to 10 psi Checked again 1012 two days later...

    Depends on you're voltage supply Over here in the west ours is 254 V So I =W/V If Vic is 240 V then yes 10 amps

    Too late I say Throw a pkt of Notto at it ???? I recon put it down to a learning curve You need time to prep youre yeast especially a 2 stage starter at least a week before

    Dont know if you use a yeast calculator or not but there are a couple out there Type in the mfd Type of yeast 2565 being a hybrid Type of starter eg stir plate ,intermittent shaking It will give you the require starter size (number of cells) required for a given og Mr Malty , Yeast calc Brewers...

    If the MFD was in Jan I would of made a 2 step starter 500mm first then 4 litres on top to get a good slurry for say a 1050 beer Takes a bit of time as I chill & tip used beer off starter before pitching Great yeast by the way :D

    I only had 2.5 M beer line left tried that but not much better than my short length Took a sample this morning short length & just let it settle then poured more in to get enough for a sample I have been going straight into the hydro tube wait a few hours to degas while spinning In all it works...

    Sounds good Dent Did you go with POR ? Did you go with an Aussie maltster ? I must look up the AABC guideline If you dont mind I would love to see ya recipe I have only done the British Bitters but dont mind a hit of the POR now & again Cheers Rude

    Heres mine Dont know about the continuous use bit I just turn the valve to flush after each use Mounted it on a board so I can take it where ever I want

    Just wondering how everone is taking hydro samples Im using beer out connect with a bronco tap Found a line pressure calc spreadsheet & worked out I need 3.7 Metres long line 5mm ID to pour a sample without too much foam a 39 psi 18c Does this sound about right
