Cost of getting a 15 amp powerpoint installed?

Any plugs wired to those C20 breakers?

    Gas leaking from ball lock

Nice picture of the leak. I've got a grey connector gas that does that every time it's connected to the adapter for my counter pressure bottle filler. I don't use cornys but just double checking it's on the gas post? No visible cracks on the connector ? Does it leak on other kegs? Is the post...

    OG not right

@HazyNick Lots of info here for you ( and the rest of us). http://www.braukaiser.com/wiki/index.php?title=Understanding_Efficiency A check of gravity and volume after runoff ( temperature compensated) will give you info on your mash efficiency, essentially on your system this will be pre boil...

Cost of getting a 15 amp powerpoint installed?

Do you have 10 amp plugs already ( I would guess so). What's the fuse / breaker rating in your breaker box. Could be as simple if the wire is right gauge to just swap a 10amp for a 15amp socket. I was able to do this to my brew area as there was a dedicated spur from the main fuse board via RCD...

Dedicated Grainfather Guide, Problems and Solutions Thread

@RRising Thanks for the update. I'm learning every brew day as well. What I have learnt is that with new kit you benefit from collecting as much info as possible. Otherwise you are running a bit in the dark. If you got 25 litres in the fermenter then your brewhouse efficiency was 80% ( assuming...

    OG not right

@HazyNick You mention your gravity readings but no mention of volume or any intermediate readings of volume or gravity in your process. High gravity beers are a challenge on a 30 litre system such as the brewzilla with all grain to get the sugars out of the grain and into the boil. I'm not...

Dedicated Grainfather Guide, Problems and Solutions Thread

@RRising So 8.5 litre of loss for grain absorption, boil off and hop / trub loss and still 24.5 litre of wort at 1.045. You don't say how much grain you used so very difficult to appreciate this devices efficiency. Grain absorption around 0.8 l per kg and hop loss about 13g water per g of...

    RAPT fridge...I bought 1....Review

I think they should release them as 0.x versions first off. Think of the things that have been released and never been seen again or get reworked. It's becoming a list.

    Ready to bottle?

could be that you are seeing hop creep. The hops have diastase enzyme that can break down big sugars in the beer that previously weren't digestible by the yeast but are now available. You would expect the gravity to drop though, seems too much bubbling for it to be the beer offgassing with the...

    RAPT fridge...I bought 1....Review

I think they want you to consider using the RAPT pill as the beer sensor ( another untested extra).

    RAPT fridge...I bought 1....Review

@Half-baked agreed, dangling temp probe in my keg fridge is up and down with the fan and then with the compressor cycling on and off. Much steadier reading stuck to the side of a keg with blu tack . It's the beer temp that matters not the air temp.

    RAPT fridge...I bought 1....Review

@Nullnvoid I find there is a discrepancy between the temp probe in thermowell and the ispindel reading but that is only if thermowell measures near bottom of fermentasaurus and the ispindel is floating on the top. Difference in height about 30 cm. I also think you get more cycling when there...

    RAPT fridge...I bought 1....Review

@usastman I completely agree with you. It should just work, it's not rocket science it's fridge science. I'm not rapt about your reports that's for sure. As you can see on my data chain, actually very little going on at all with heating or cooling, though this is day 3 of a saison ferment so...

I see glass lid so a separate purchase for a stainless steel lid that you can fit a condenser onto. Interested to see your numbers re efficiency throughout your brew.

    RAPT fridge...I bought 1....Review

Second hand Fridge, heat belt or two heat belts if two brews, a brew pi and temp probes or a couple of brewpiless and add some ispindels and you'll have about 650 dollars in your pocket. Wifi and web readable and you can build a ispindel repeater to display your results as well as relay to the...

    Let's Freeze Some Yeast

I'm just spinning up a Brett salvaged from a keg. Seems to have some foam on the top and active after 4 days with a top up after 3 days. I'm lead to believe that you need to pitch all of a brett starter as it doesn't settle at all well. It's for a 100 brett Saison.

    GUTEN

Having seen the floods in some parts of Aus and recent in NZ 50cm not high enough up. But you have a reserve shelf that you could stand it on and then you stand on the shelf the guten is currently standing on.

Just the mention of barbecue in our neighbourhood and it would start to rain. I wouldn't want the guten sitting in a puddle!

@Ballaratguy Yes realise the GF advantages with positioning and that discourages the benchtop use and dangers.

@Ballaratguy I'm not that keen seeing kettles of boiling wort at eyelevel on benches, just dangerous. I wonder whether the tiltbridge device for relaying bluetooth Tilt signals to wifi could be used or adapted to get you a wifi link that you don't really need? Best to ask @LBussy on...
