    Fermenting and watering down

There will be oxygen in the water though, even boiled water once it has cooled.

Problems with a Counter Pressure bottle cooler

If you have a coke bottle and a carbonation cap you could test earlier ;)

With the Intertap faucets on here you mentioned a rating for how much they could drop the pressure from the keg, what would your new flow control disconnects be able to drop it by, is it the same or greater (I appreciate there should be less turbulence involved regardless)?

    Anyone Using Brewfather?

Brewfather works on a phone and offline as it gets cached. I posted some more info on the Beersmith thread and am a happy user but have never used Wort. I would give each a run and see what your think.

BeerSmith 3 - worth the upgrade?

I was actually referring to the Brewfather app in case there is any confusion. I just wanted to make sure that people didn't get the impression it is a really buggy app, e.g. the starter issue related to US users using US gallons for everything but asking for litres to be used as their units for...

BeerSmith 3 - worth the upgrade?

Just as an FYI, although there is a Bitbucket based issue tracker (bugs, features, etc) the Facebook reports referred to are on the official page and seem to usually be fixed and pushed to the cloud within 24 hours so the developer is pretty responsive and users are getting the updates without...

BeerSmith 3 - worth the upgrade?

Brewfather, the new kid on the block, is definitely worth checking out. From what I have seen quite a few users have moved over from Beersmith (even those who have just upgraded to version 3). It is a web based app (but your browser caches it so it works offline) so works and synchs across all...

Dedicated Braumeister Guide, Problems & Solution Thread

Vice, rubber mallet and a bit of patience. I had a tap that leaked below 30C (?) And they sent me a new plastic sleeve rather than a new tap, if you have a vice then it isn't that hard to swap it; the tolerances for it working properly must be fairly tight.

    Ultratap versus Intertap

There are people on brewing forums/groups claiming (prior to any Ultratap being known about) that Brad took their money when Ventmatic suddenly shut up shop and didn't deliver on or refund paid for orders, I wonder if they will ever get reimbursed from these royalties or if he will address their...

The new Pegas taps have done away with the cartridge system for that reason and you can even retro fit the new system in the old fillers.

    KegLand Questions and Answers

I find one of my most useful tools in brewing to be my pressure cooker and I really like being able to sterilise items in it, especially if they are a little fiddly to clean (gives a bit of piece of mind). Could you let me know which of your items below I could put in the pressure cooker without...

Ball Lock Disconnects on Tap Shanks?

Just for clarification the ones in my picture are 5/8" attached to Intertap shanks.

Ball Lock Disconnects on Tap Shanks?

Yes and they work well, especially useful if you full the odd bottle with carb caps as you don't end up kicking sediment up attaching a jumper lead. All my shanks now use them (the picture is from quite a while ago when I was testing). I also use one on my Pegas counter pressure filler as it...

    KegLand Questions and Answers

Well there were plans for a "sparkler" spout for the Intertap faucets but they were put on the back burner for other higher priority items. I would buy a few of these in a heart beat if they worked well and I own a couple of beer engines (they are a lot more involved to use and keep clean if...

    KegLand Questions and Answers

Thanks for that, although I am still a little unsure where Brewsmarter on AliExpress fit into things. The Malt Miller probably has the best customer service in the UK and good pricing on your gear though so it's only when he is out of stock that I am looking elsewhere (I'm actually in Berlin...

    KegLand Questions and Answers

Who are Brewsmarter in relation to Kee/KegLand? I'm in the UK and usually buy your stuff through the local distributor there (Malt Miller) but there are occasions when he and other new resellers are out of stock and the replenish times can be quite lengthy. It looks to me and others that they...
