    beer canning melbourne

@Adam G - How readily available are the can blanks and caps? Just thinking it could be a killer if you have to ship from the US every time you need to top up your consumables. I think the home canning idea is cool in principle, but if I was just looking for a solution for camping i'd be more...

Single cube addition only? Is it tasty?

Either siphon to another keg or pull the dip tube out and chuck a paint strainer bag over the end of it and secure with a cable tie. Absolute pain in the arse when you get blocked poppets, I feel for you.

Using a 40L Electric Urn for BIAB - a guide

If you get wort crusted on to the element chuck a bit of citric acid in with some water and bring to the boil. When it cools down the element will wipe clean with little effort.

Single cube addition only? Is it tasty?

Since originally replying to this thread I've started splitting my late additions between flameout (25 min whirlpool for calc) and cube (15 min whirlpool for calc) and I think that the hop flavour is more rounded and closer to where I want it. My process now is: kill the boil throw flameout...

    Anyone lock their taps?

If you have a keezer you could screw in an eye bolt behind each tap handle then simply lock with an appropriate sized pad lock. I've done this on my keezer and it works well. Don't really lock the taps anymore though as the kids know not to touch them.
