At a small volume if you do want to shave a little more off your pitch temp you could do a quick in the sink before diluting, you'll get this volume down to 30-40 degrees in absolutely no time and that'll easy take a few degrees out of the whole volume.

I checked with gascon who can do an elbow type 30 up for about $65, which I'd obviously prefer to avoid such a cost on top of $20 for the 5/8" to type 30 adapter. If I have to get one tapped I'd certainly jump the adapter and just go type 30 female to 5/8"-18 UNF male . Ultimately whatever the...

Finding this out :P looking and seeing no female/male elbows, at least the like for like and nipples seem common enough. Whatever I do though, my main concern is that it's gonna be safe whatever the configuration since it'll have the full fury of the tank behind it.
