Hi Guys, just following up on this. After receiving an incomplete SDS from the company - they responded to my query by saying yes, silver nitrate was also present, but did not not go on to provide a full list of ingredients. On that basis, ... I'd give it a miss.

Dissolve the sugar in some water before you add it, it should dilute things down a little. And/Or. If you have two fermenters (a big W pot is what I use and perfectly fine), split the batch in two and add half the sugar to each (dissolved maybe in 5L water for each). That will bring it down a...

Throw in some sugar? Half a kilo maybe and see if the yeasties come to life... worth a try, sugar is cheap.

Another one bites the dust... I tried their Stout, but wasn't really a fan. Perhaps AB will improve it. Others seem to like their beers though, hence the takeover.

Base malt + roast barley 10 - 15% and you can't go too wrong. Nottingham yeast works well, keep the temps down though. If it gets hot it throws out paint stripper.

The term "up to" is a bugbear of mine in reports etc. e.g. Product X improved factor Z "up to" YY percent . .. .what does that mean exactly? YY percent when, for how long, under what conditions? What happened for the rest of the time? "by around" - is somewhat of an improvement.

Agreed, doubt there's anything else it's probably just sterilised water (filtered/ autoclaved/ irradiated/ pastuerised - whatever) + actives. But .. wouldn't hurt to ask if there are any inactive ingredients not listed. For peace of mind.

Maybe just check if there are any other ingredients besides the active ones listed. You may like to know if there's anything else in there...

Just following up on this. I made inquiries, - there's an Aussie lab that has permit to import plant DNA, and can do the comparison at their lab. Costs are prohibitively high - 2 grand AUS. . . . (having said that, they can run up to 48 samples for that price). Would indeed be interesting...
