Baking with heat will sterilize, not just sanitize.

Heat belts , heat pads or other sources -what's best

Yep that's what I already have. Never had an issue with them. Gentle enough heat to touch with your hand.

Heat belts , heat pads or other sources -what's best

So bought one of those ceramic reptile heat lamps off ebay. Glowed bright red with a bad burning smell and died. Lucky I didn't leave it unattended or it would have burnt my fridge or my house   Think I'll stick with the safer heat belts!

    Infection.

External as in outside the fermenter? Those coopers push in taps can leak easy if you bump them. You may have bumped the tap or something and some beer snuck through. Your beer inside the fermenter should be fine.

I posted on his core brewing USA facebook page but hes either deleted it or banned me from it.

Places that do keg exchange (filled with beer!)

Ive investigated this before and it was just easier and cheaper to get a few slabs of quality beer.

ATO would definitely be looking into him. 1 or 2 hundred grand just doesnt disappear.

    I wonder who?

Seen hes deleted all his posts on Facebook but is posting overseas looking for customers.... Didnt even have the business knowledge to register a Pty Ltd. He really must be as stupid as he sounds. He's probably dodgy enough to transfer all assets out of his name when he came to the realization...

    Sugar vs carbonation drops.

3 weeks is the minimum before I test a brew these days. Also ensure its had a good 24+ hours in the fridge before cracking it open.

    Keg King Elements

And that guy on youtube - heaps of his videos are keg king products. No doubt he's probably a mate of someone at KK and gets discounted/free products if he posts up a review. Hard to be unbiased or impartial with that sort of deal going on. Very common in other industries ATM.

    Keg King Elements

So many have had issues from the KK elements, so when I went electric I stayed well clear. People have had issues for 3+ years...way too long to "fix" it now. Not worth buying cheap crap for it just to fail and need to be thrown out. Buy once buy right.

    Hark Outdoor Burner

I used to have of these. Worked great. Easily boil double batches That being said I've switched and much prefer electric.

    I wonder who?

Because unfortunately people can, and do, make **** up and rant online or in public. Obviously whats occurred with the company in the Crafty Pint article is without a doubt legit and horrible, but theres been a history of people spreading crap and thus why the laws exist. Hopefully after...

plain old stainless steel pot as fermenter

Ive bought a few of these 82l pots for my system. Highly highly recommend you go in person and pickup as the first couple of pots I opened to inspect had issues. Otherwise very happy with them. Definite2lt only 2mm base, the sides are very thin.
