Dedicated Grainfather Guide, Problems and Solutions Thread

Hey guys just a quick pointer, might already have been mentioned... If you want to get the crud off the element, cut a lemon in half and use that as a scrubber. Works a treat and will be brand new again in seconds. Cheers

    Victoria hops for bittering

Hi Guys, I'm planning on growing some Victoria hops and am wondering if anyone has any experience with using them for bittering? I'm a bit worried it might be too harsh... I'm a big fan of Warrior and Magnum but don't if it's even possible to get those rhizomes. Cheers!

    Bulk hop rhizomes for sale

Thanks, BG I see they have some shoots (if that's what they are popping out). Is it safe to put them in the fridge for a while or do I need to plant them straight away? I'm in Melbourne. Thanks!

    Guinness Draught BIAB

From my understanding there really aren't that many changes needed when you BIAB. Perhaps bumping the recipe up a bit for more wort at the end of the boil as BIAB can produce more trub in the kettle. With said I'm sure there are a lot of great Guinness clone recipes out there. I'm sure...

New brewer - thoughts or suggestions on this partial?

Great, I will see if I can find out some more info on what Birdie G is doing. I didn't realise I would be limited to bitterness. Might have to think up some late hop additions or dry hopping then. I've been wanting to experiment with Amarillo. (The guy at my local HBS is in love with it.)

New brewer - thoughts or suggestions on this partial?

Hi all, I'm a few batches of all grain BIAB deep now including two APA's, a light American Lager, and a Pilsner. Now I'm going to head to a partial with a goal of cost savings and yet get a decent tasting beer. For my next batch I plan on doing the following: Mash 2kg of a traditional ale...

    Pimp My TapKing

I was also thinking that if you made up 3.2 litres of something like SaniClean you could just run it through each bottle when finished. This would clean all internals and alleviate the need to take everything apart. With the on/off micro reg that sunnybrew uses, this could be accomplished...

    Pimp My TapKing

I followed sunnybrew's directions with good results. I got the regulator fitting from Super Cheap Auto as suggested. Also, it would be good to specify the line size that slides over the 3mm line from Bunning's which you have already fitted over the Tap King's white CO2 injector piece. This...
