Check with your hydrometer, but I certainly wouldn’t be bumping up the temp. I’d say the bulk of the fermentation is completed with the warm temperatures, but allow the yeast to keep working the beer. There will still be fermentation occurring, albeit slower, and you won’t notice this as airlock...

Depends. You’re probably better off slightly over pitching, than under pitching. But a big overpitch isn’t a good thing either. I wouldn’t dump six packets of dried yeast into a 20l batch, but the 5g yeast packs that come with some kits aren’t enough. Also depends on the OG of what you’re trying...

Kit yeast is also generally an under pitch. Sometimes they simply don’t give you enough of it.

Not knowing the content of the brigalow product, probably a combination of dex, maltodextrin and LME? Would ferment out more than than just LME. Slightly dryer tasting and a little bit more boozy would be my guess.

So many variables, could be something as simple as your fermenter lid half a turn loose. I’d just watch your gravity readings and try not to stress. I did a brew with notty that smelt like sewerage when fermenting. Did the same recipe, same yeast, at a later date and did not have that awful...

Nobody is perfect. What’s your bad brewing habit? I haven’t used a hydrometer for three months. Keep forgetting to replace it/put off replacing my old broken one. Lucky I keg, but it’s gonna bite me soon!

I notice this most in CD. Definite bread aftertaste!

It does matter, as the regulator will keep allowing pressure to come through if there’s a leak, and you’ll end up with an empty bottle. Doing a pressure test on the gas system, with the co2 turned off at the bottle, with No disconnects connected to any keg, will tell you if you’re losing gas in...
