I'd second that. There's no need to bring something if you're out but if you wanted to, you could turn up with a beer you like and we can discuss how to go about making a suitable recipe.

Especially seeing as you're a maybe, making me the only definite. Mind you, having a few quiet ones in the afternoon is a typical Sunday for me anyway.

For sure we can try your beer at the next meeting and it wouldn't be a bad thing to make it among the first few we sample, while the taste buds are fresh.

Update from the facebook post - there was a bit of interest and a few people got tagged in it but no-one has contacted me about it. I guess it might lead to a new member or two further down the track.

I've only just posted the meeting to facebook. I'll let you know what comes of it.

Got my Dusseldorf Altbier fermenting right now. I have a German friend living in the Cologne region who tells me this is not a real beer. I guess it's a bit like the Sydney/Melbourne thing.

12. MikeyR - Cali Uncommon Top beer. Apricots and spices on the nose. Rich, malty flavours mingling with fruit and spicy phenolics. It comes together really well, making a very enjoyable beer. Kinda reminds me of a mince pie, but not as sweet. Thanks Mike.

What can I bring food-wise? Rolls and some coleslaw? Beer-wise I have a Simcoe APA and a Dr Smurtos Golden Ale done with mosaic. Also a brown ale done with cascade and mosaic that we had a few meetings ago.
