Been finished in the fermenter for a week or so now. Sampled and the bitterness has mellowed already. Decided to dry hop with 7g/L cascade for that extra yum, might do a second after 3 days will see. Going to try CC at start of dry hop too so also set to 1 degC today.

Yes, I'm not a fan of gas, love my electric setup on my 20L but for 700L my gut says gas and I was planning to use a solenoid valve to regulate gas pressure to maintain temp anyways. I'm also really keen to do some bush brews so either gas or the more primitive fire options are the go.

You just gave me an idea. The tank temperature could just be set to 80 deg C and a servo driven arm that raises and lowers the coil to achieve the temperature setpoint. Raise the coil for the lower temp steps and lower for stepping up. The projects are endless!

Gas fire, collab HX, weld a 4" tube baffle in the centre of the tank to reduce total water volume and you're done. Let me know if you don't find a use for it and Ill set about turning it into a collab HX, warning though it would take me a while to get around to it.

Pressure ferment 1 BAR @ 21 deg = ready! Really impressed with this and is super tasty. It does have a slight bitterness that dissipates and I reckon will mellow with time but I wouldn't change a thing. Tasty as!

Have started building said vessel, wide tank with one of its own BFK burners. Just need time, $$ and motivation to finish as it needs a custom coil. It's on the long term project list once the 2HL is complete.

Just threw some WLP022 at this. OG was 1.044/5 and when I emptied the cube it was half full of hop flowers. Lost a lot of wort to the flowers but salvaged some for starters. I'm calling it "Amber The Bitter B!tch" definitely bitter but I think it will turn out great with 300g of flowers in the cube.
