Cheers WEAL I tried the SP today at low temperature, worked well ran the pump for about half hour and got rid of the crud easily.

    Keg King S/Steel Uni tank

I think any one who is worried about infections from the sanitary ball valves could just take them off each time give them a clean and sanitise, or do as I do with the Snubnose, if they are going to come with a pressure kit pressure transfer into the keg and plug up the ports for dumping and...

    KegLand Questions and Answers

I was thinking along those lines, I can't imagine a knurled finish would gain enough purchase to pull pop corn through, not unless it was popped pop corn they were talking about.

    GUTEN

Running the pump during a boil is taking a slight risk, I took my pump apart when I bought my Guten second hand, just to make sure it was clean. It is a plastic impeller with semi open vanes so it really depends on the clearance between the vanes and the pump casing. The heat could distort the...

Little white Keg King inline regulators

Have you tried it on various pressures? I was thinking of getting the Spundit but could be a bit over the top for pressure transfers or just carbonating in the snubby.

Starsan withdrawn for sale in EU?

If they wanted to red tape something it would be something that would be coming in in quantity, Starsan is a miniscule import. Agree with MHB it will be the surfactant that would be the bone of contention not the phosphoric acid. Though I can't understand what the EU has against chlorinated...

    1V electric homebuild

If you are going to be brewing large batches it wouldn't really matter as long as you are adding the 9 litres to your water to grain ratio or even doing full volume mash on smaller batches. I have made a grain basket before from a 20 litre pail but only had drilled holes and not slots, wouldn't...

    KegLand Questions and Answers

Something obviously happened, why else the bizarre wording that you were selling empty cylinders? Or are you going to say that the wording was never there, since you changed it within hours of my post going up. Another point is why suddenly put a statement under the cylinders that the cylinders...

Looks like they have changed the wording, seemed really strange to be selling empty bottles. They must be busy filling them as we speak.:)

Returning home brewer with an upgrade

I think you are doing the bottling the hard way, after the cold crash run off into a bottling bucket with the priming sugar and bulk prime, fill the bottles and wait 2 weeks (minimum) before trying, depending on the beer longer conditioning is better.

    GUTEN

Once you have everything worked out, don't go confusing yourself with dead space ( no it isn't a loss) the important factors are loss to grain absorption, loss to evaporation and loss to trub. I am a fairly new to the Guten but first of I made a measuring rod marking off increments of 2 litres...
