    EXTERIOR HOUSE COLOUR

Have a look at "Dune" we repainted our house a couple years ago, the roof is "woodland grey" this is an image of the cottage we painted first as a proof of concept.

New member intro looking into farming hops

Hi @djorr5, sorry mate that was from memory, 3 or 4 yrs ago, **** maybe even 5 and it was the going rate for a small rhizome from the sources I mentioned, typically a 6inch errr 7cm? rhizome with 3 or 4 buds on it, no crop to speak of for the first yr, a cutting will be a yr behind it in terms...

    Russki Beer

I have friends in Estonia, they are currently making preparations to leave their family home and join their daughter in Austria, what we and the rest of the Western world see is a tiny piece of the tragedy a single man is inflicting on parts of Europe. A while ago on this forum I was ridiculed...

New member intro looking into farming hops

For a lot of plants cheaply ^ S.E ^ is right on the money, cuttings are the way to go, just be aware that it adds a couple of years to the timeline. Rhizomes are available here July/August and being dormant travel well, cuttings are more December/January and need to be well rooted and packed...

    How many use bottles?

This is starting to get very interesting, as an ex Fullers manager I can attest to some customers noticing the difference between a freshly tapped barrel, a middle of life, and end of life, and of course some preferred fresh whilst others preferred old, plenty didn't notice (or didn't comment)...

    How many use bottles?

@An Ankoù I don't think it's possible to replicate cask ESB in a bottle or keg for that matter, buy a bottle of ESB, it's not the same as cask, neither is keg ESB, and if Fullers can't do it I doubt anyone can. The life expectancy of a cask of ale, once tapped is about a week, largely due to...

    Electric brewery options

Whatever you go with just make sure the elements are ULWD (ultra low watt density) or you WILL get scorching, amps isn't everything. Elements and controllers take a look, usual caveat, if you don't know what you're doing employ someone that does. No affiliation etc, etc. Claims from all in one...

    Fermenting Fridge Recommendations?

Hopefully one of our fridgies will chime in, I've never seen one, just looked at the wiring diagram, found the wire (they're colour coded) and disconnected it, one freezer I converted had no wiring diagram (on the unit itself and google was no help) so it was a matter of elimination, which was a...

    Fermenting Fridge Recommendations?

Upright freezer, better insulation so more efficient (less power used) and generally a bigger compressor than a similarly sized fridge, old ones more likely to have cooling shelves, it's possible with some to bend the shelves flat against the back (if you're feeling brave) not sure where you're...

How To Clean Your Grain Mill

The amazon link you provide on your "youtube content" clearly states it's a corn mill, we call it maize, the yanks call it grits, either way it is NOT suitable for cracking malted barley for the purpose of brewing, and suggesting that it is will only result in some folks buying it and being...

How To Clean Your Grain Mill

I thought the only use for these was corn, as in "maize" as for the "30 sec's of fame" ??? Maybe politics rather than brewing should be considered, self promotion seems to be the order of the day there.

    Coopers devils half porter

Your first post is key to the question. Will a can n kilo of sugar make an alcoholic drink? Most definitely, will it be drinkable? Probably, can you improve it? Yes, but not for free. Ever wondered why a can of beer costs $20+ and the can next to it costs $4, many reasons for it but one of them...
