    Using Plate Chiller Without Pump

I gravity feed mine, despite having a march pump. (until i get 100L system running) I use iodophor in hoses and chillers prior to chilling. Then run hot wort through the lot, to flush iodophor until it hits fermenter. Tip out the iodophor/hot wort then turn water on to chiller and go for it...

    Bread Machine Wanted

The problem is i wanna drill a hole in the bread maker to put a temperature probe through the wall. Hooked to a program on laptop you can map the heat, thus giving more control. Just another thing to fiddle with i suppose

    Bread Machine Wanted

Hi guys. Just wondering if anyone has a working bread machine lurking in the back of a cupboard somewhere. I want to use it to roast coffee in. :o I'm in Brunswick, so i guess somewhere within a 20km radius of the city would be awesome. Happy to throw some beer your way. Cheers, Ben.

    Disposing Of Used Grain

I have heard of feeding disposed grain to cattle. I have seen it used as compost. I have also seen it used as garden mulch. This is how i get rid of it though. Ah inner city life = no garden. Stoopid landlord wont even allow pots on the balcony.

Vic X-mas In July 2009 Tasting Thread

Aah. Winter does get us dark beer enthusiasts excited. Thanks for the comments Leigh. I roasted the oatmeal. So the slightly biscuity flavour is from that. The oatmeal is mainly for mouthfeel in my books though. Remeniscent of silk panties. Cheers hairofthedog. :icon_cheers:
