    Commercial Examples A Particular Hop

Out of interest I googled it, this seems like an excellent source. However most of the example beers seem to be American craft beers and may be difficult to find. http://www.tasteyourbeer.com/researchcommercialbeers.php

    Commercial Examples A Particular Hop

An excellent thread idea, I can't think of anything right now to contribute, but I would love to see a good list developed out of this. I really need to get a better palette for hops. But can I suggest that everyone adding to the list cuts and pastes this list from below so we get a nice...

    Need For Bulk Buy Alerts

What happened? Did someone organise one, take the money and run? Whenever I've been in a bulk buy I've always wondered if I was a less scrupulous individual how easy it would be to make money scamming hobbie forums that organise bulk buys. Let's just hope the people who respond to car ads saying...

    Need For Bulk Buy Alerts

My bet is protecting the sponcers. Fair enough too, if everyone here bought bulk buys the sponcers would lose a lot of buisness, and would withdraw sponcership, killing AHB.

    Don Burke's New Brewery

Only the outlet side. The inlet side water will still be cold. Perhaps while boiling the wort, run a few litres of hot water through the coil to rince the wort out at boiling temperatures.

    Don Burke's New Brewery

I wouldn't worry to much about gone_fishing, he sounds a bit jealous to me. Congrats on an awesome system. Not to mention any nasties developing inside the coil won't be a problem because wort going through them will be boiled for over an hour, and wort on the outside boiling for an hour will...

    Will A Dry Enzyme Help

I used a dry enzyme at the stage you are talking about a few months back. However trouble was the brew was at 1030. I realised the thermometer I did the mash with was way ot of whack. I think it ended up around 1010. Really saved the brew, however I wouldn't suggest it here. Too few points of...

    All Grain Set Up Questions.

I think wanting to be an all grain brewer and liking building stuff are not independent character traits. I don't think you'll find a lot of allgrain brewers who don't love to make all their own bits and pieces.

    Campden Or Just Keep Cold?

I say go cold and hope you don't get a black out. The other option is using lactose, I always did this with my ginger beer. It's unfermentable and a little bit goes a long way.

I think the only unreasonable responce in this thread was Duffmans to JD's. He brought the grief upon himself and if his going to have a go at people trying to help then his not welcome here.

Can Anyone Help Me? 12months Of Crap Beer!

Making a decent extract beer is a very tricky thing indeed. Extracts really don't cut it and you will struggle to make anything close to a commercial beer. I remember quite enjoying mine but I think that's because I was a uni student and I enjoyed the 50c beers more than anything. But now I've...

    Soda Water

Sorry, I was just trying to save you making 20l at a time and thought these might make the process a bit easier and save you a lot of gas, if you wern't aware of these. I guess it really depends on the tap water where you live. I know in Sydney I prefer the taste of tap water to most bottled...

http://www.craftbrewer.com.au/shop/details.asp?PID=870 I'm not a big fan of non beer bevarages but I saw these which might make the job even easier. Or for a little cheaper http://cgi.ebay.com.au/CARBONATOR-CAP-CARB...=item4aa8adb7fa
