Better safe than sorry!!
I've used 2 glass beer bottles to get that little bit extra.
Wrapped up in rags just in case of bottle grenades!
(Not that I don't properly check my gravity, I'd just rather be safe)
;)
2 out of my 8-10 bottles I have conditioning now,
I used about 3 or so grams of pale ale yeast. About a good kilo of lactose to hopefully get rid of that mouth-puckering dryness.
I used a Beer fining agent to try and clear it up a little, it's worked pretty damn well. spewing that i didn't take...
I've got Ginger Beer (vinegar) sitting to the left in the black top bottles.
In the yellow top bottles I'm settling some Apple & Passionfruit ciders
the red top bottles are my black rock cider, not too dry and not overly sweet (I'll open a bottle up tonight)
and the green top bottle in the...
another shot of the Apple & Black Currant cider.
Very pale compared to my other ciders/brews.
Cannot wait to try this properly, I might just smash it straight out the fermenter right now!! :F
I'll keep you posted
