I just watched ep 1 and I loved it. gotta say I'm hooked now and definitely enjoy their personalities. On top of that I feel like the IPA was way more interesting than the steam/fog beer

Cocoa addition - impact on gravity

Off but sorta on topic: I'm making a temptress style porter. How much dutch coco should I add at end of boil? 23 L batch and it's malt bill is 10% chocolatey/dark type malts, 8% light crystal and the rest ale malt. 1 vanilla bean sliced in at end of boil too.

anyone ever add whole spices to the boil in a hop bag? Considering doing it this weekend. Hard to work out the quantities as most recipes use about 1-2 teaspoons of dried or crushed spices.

Lion introduces "Tap King" - party keg / growlers

Yeah I'm also curious about the o ring breakages. I have changed over three 12g mosa cartiridges without any noticiable issues. Have I been lucky or am I potentially breaking them and not noticing? Have not been overly careful or gentle

Augustiner Bräustuben Landsberger Straße 19, 80339 München, Germany http://goo.gl/maps/QYwKM This is where to go if you get sick of the festival (which you won't) Authentic bier hall, great beer and great food. It's also really close to the festival

Lion introduces "Tap King" - party keg / growlers

dave70, my understanding is that the easiest and proven method is: Buy 2mm triangle screwdriver eBay $2-3 Buy 12 gram mosa unthreaded co2 from ezy chargers. About $20 for 10 including shipping or cheaper if you buy bulk. Unscrew the lid. Take out old co2 bottle. Get the pin that pierces the...

    Chinook Hops

Pickaxe, have you looked at the LCPA clone (old version) on here somewhere. It's similar malt and hop bill minus the chocolate, equal parts cascade and chinook and using east kent to bitter. Lots of good revuewa

Adjustable sodastream adaptor and a lost tank - what went wrong?

I'm enjoying the bullshite involved with soda stream at the moment. You need to use threading tape and once it's screwed in I wouldn't unscrew it. Make sure everything is tight and threaded with tape and if you want to stop the gas going into the keg take off the disconnect rather than...

Long time drinker first time brewer, looking for keg hints and tips

Sanitise, temperature control, fresh ingredients, google or forum searches (every question you have has already been asked somewhere online), try to understand why you need to do the things that you need to do. If you are brewing extract (from tins or jars) then at least use specialty grains...

    Mountain Goat Steam Ale

So do you interpret that there are two dry hop additions. One during ferment and one after ferment? I just did one addition after ferment and I wanted more aroma. I made two mistakes with that one addition though. Didn't convert pellets to flowers (I used flowers so should have upped the...
