Lion introduces "Tap King" - party keg / growlers

Guys I've worked it out and feel like a f wit. I put the bottle standing upright and the beer comes out fine. Down the correct way and I get foam/co2 The fing beer line must be facing up. I was quite careful to do it the same way as it came put but perhaps I didn't tighten it as much when it...

Lion introduces "Tap King" - party keg / growlers

Thanks for your help. I just realised I've been a saying foam when I should be saying foam plus heaps of co2. Hence why I feel like it may have jammed. That said, it does have a funny homebrew flavour that I don't usually get. Maybe diacetal or dms. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free

Lion introduces "Tap King" - party keg / growlers

It's literally spitting out a bit of foam only. No beer. (I know the foam is beer but this is so far from liquid). I might try the reg but didn't want to break it apart. I might try that other suggestion as well. It's possible it's over carbed. Pouring at fridge temps and carbonated 2 weeks with...

Lion introduces "Tap King" - party keg / growlers

Has anyone had issues with it just dispensing foam after the first couple of beers? I'm using 12g Mosa with all original packaging - just replaced the co2. Could be that my beer is not very clear and it's clogging the unit?

    Hop Hog Clone

Yeah the more early hops you put in the more late hops should go in too. It's a balancing act. Ibu should suit the amount of alcohol (specific gravity) and flavour aroma hops should balance it all so that it doesn't taste super bitter. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free

    Scratch Bar over Xmas

Chelmer is on the right side of town for scratch :) Definitely make your way to newstead or teneriffe at some point though for bitter suite, tipplers and beacon Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free

    Scratch Bar over Xmas

Inner city embassy has some great American food as well. A few great taps plus a bunch of lion crafts. Caxton st has brewski - new bar with 4 rotating plus 4 lion taps. Caxton also has lefties for night time parties. Two taps and heaps of bottles and whiskey and late night food. Sent from my...

    Scratch Bar over Xmas

For quiet drinks and great food bitter suite is great! For wings and American foods plus 11 taps go to tipplers tap For a micro brewery go to green beacon (or newstead if it opens on time) For cover bands and huge bottle range go to archive. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free

    Hop Hog Clone

I don't know from a lot of experience but agree that you would probably want some more malty flavours in there Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free

    Hop Hog Clone

I just made an IPA with Centennial, Citra & Simcoe and hops wise it didn't taste completely different to a poorly stored hop hog. (I'm not a very experienced brewer so pretty happy with it)

    Talkin' Temperature?

When you choose your yeast you can look it up online. If you used US-05 fermentis, which is what I would have used for Galaxy Pale Ale, you can look at this pdf http://www.fermentis.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/SFA_US05.pdf It says: fermentation temperature 12-25°C (53.6-77°F) ideally...

    Talkin' Temperature?

Hey Gav, Sometimes I do that too but I don't know if I'm doing any harm. Is your theory that it will get to the right temp before it becomes active?

    Talkin' Temperature?

I brew my ales at 18 degrees generally. If you care more then you would look into the recipe and yeast used to work out the right temp. Fluctuating/high fermentation temperatures will make your beer taste like homebrew. When you taste it you will say something like "It's not bad" or "pretty...

    Holgate road trip recipe

is that a version of the recipe I posted? you could also get pine from simcoe? I am brewing it this weekend but dropped back the ibu's a bit for my friends palates. I also see that the IBU adds up to 71 and checked the original photo of the slide and that is definitely what he put up at the...

    28 pale ale

I also find it's better on tap but I think that is related to big bottle shops like dans and 1st choice sitting on stock and their wonderful storage ways. If you get a fresh bottle from a shop that cares about beer storage then it will be as delicious as it is on tap.
