    What Hop?

Hey guys, As i move to more complex flavours in beers etc and away from straight Kits, I plan on starting by douing kits and bits- adding to kits to get better tastes. Then later I'll do more extracts, Partials, and then to BIAB I reckon. First Q for all the Hopheads out there- Which Hops would...

    Alcohol Protects Men's Hearts

2-3 days off per WEEK? Yeah right- like that'll happen. Before I moved here in July I lived a year in the Cook Islands- I managed 5 days off all YEAR :) Fluid replacement was high on my priority list in the tropics

    Wheat Beer

Good one. I'd HATE to hear a Wheatbeer horror story as I am bottling one this weekend :)

    Wheat Beer

You could always follow the Hoegaarden rules for drinking it if it has come out really clear: Pour 3/4 of the bottle, swirl the rest around to re-suspend the yeasty bit at the bottom and pour that :)

    Bloody Adelaide Wheather

Having the same sort of fun here in QLD. Temps haven't let up since I started brewing again after Fathers Day- some of my earlier brews were hitting 25 indoors :( Didn't care too much as they were just kit brews, but am brewing a Witbier style thing now and really struggling to keep it cool...

*sigh* Shitter is I can't. 3 Kids, Wife and In-laws at home, plus work and stuff. Means I need to give myself more notice than just figuring out in the forums today ;) Will have to prime myself for a mid-year one next year methinks. Also need to brew this weekend as well

    Newbie Brewer

So far my efforts have been: 1: Coopers Lager that came with the kit (tasted just as I remembered- nothing too special) 2: Coopers Mexican Cerveza - brewed this one twice as the father-in-law and uncle like it :) Its a good drop 3: Australian Pale Ale. 4: Canadian Blonde 3 & 4 suffered as...

    Introduce Yourself.

Hi everyone, Just a quick reply here- as technically I am at work ;) I used to brew tons back in the 80's-90's in NZ (I'm another of the kiwi invasion force taking over Aussie), but stopped to have a business and family and shit. But my daughters (lovely girls that they are) bought me a...

    Newbie Brewer

Just re-started brewing myself (after a lay-off of about 15 years) - and started with the Coopers kit. Its a goodie, especially as you break-even or better with the first brew, and the only ingredients you need to add to the kit to start are water and your own time. I got mine given to me on...
