Thanks to the help of this forum my first brew seems to be going pretty well. Bottled it today and snuck a quick taste. Definitely tastes and smells like beer so that's a bonus :D Original gravity was 1040 and final gravity before bottling was 1009 so if I've got the calculations correct that...

Right now I'm just impatiently watching my amber ale brew :D Giving it a bit of sniff around the airlock and it smells nice. I'll likely go pick up some more bottles and another extract next weekend just so I can start the next batch right away. Not sure what's on the agenda for the next...

Cheers Keifer, have added Starsan to the shopping list :) Good to know that the robobrew is being demoed. I'm interested in that unit and could look at upgrading to it down the line as my brewing progresses so will be good to see it in action. Seems like a good bit of equipment for the price!

aye, seems like it will be handy only having them down the road. The girlfriend wants to pop along with me because she wants to check out the kegerators. She wants one for nitro coffee (she's a barista) so I just gotta convince her to get at least two taps... one for beer and one for coffee in...

I'm in Bedford. According to Google Brewmart in Bayswater is my closest home brew supply store so was going to head there on the weekend.
