    I ended up leaving the release valve open for 24hrs. The carbonation level had almost evened out. Left at pouring pressure for a couple more days then spot on.

    It's been about 6 or so hours since kegging. I have released gas (through release valve) a few times since - it appears that the head has reduced about 10-15%.. beer is still flat. Have now left the release valve up and will check it in a day. I assume a day or two of leaving release valve up...
