Haven't Seen Katie & Lloyd For A While

    New Urn Not Working

Really, a thermostat is simply a fascist representation of 'the man's' attempt to control the masses. A free-thinking brewer should be raising his fist in resistance to the so-called electrical safety regulations that Corporate Australia shackles the common man with, and live by the emotions of...

Yep, but it's his house, not mine. C'mon, brewing is about living on the edge.

Ah, charming as ever, Cm2. The people that put up with you in your life must be very frustrated by your anger & agression. As an internet entity, however, you are simply a joke. Go and bash some old lady, anger boy.

    New Urn Not Working

And rewire the ******* to bypass the thermostat so it's always cranking at full-steam. Dunno what brand your urn is, but from the threads posted elsewhere, Birko (exposed element) vs Crown(sealed element) appears to favour the former for getting to a good boil.

Extra Hops In A No Boil Kit (coopers)

So what's the go with dry-hopping ? I just chucked 15 grams Hallertau pellets into a week-old fermenter (which is also a hal/hersbrucker bitch varied only by the high AA POR bitter-base and a wee 5g of Cascade at 30 mins to take it tans-global) without making a tea of it. Kinda like the subtle...

    Not Getting Much Head

See ! 2Beers came back ! Go with the flow, brothers. We are all here to help each other, not censor the secret knowledge of making a better beer. The headmaster glasses really aren't the answer. They are just props that serve a purpose in a commercial setting, with commercial beer in mind...

    Whats In The Glass (commercial)

Dropped in for a 4-Pack of WE Pale this arvo, and the manager suggested replacing a couple with a beer he just got in. So I've been comntemplating the lovely flavours of Barossa Valley Brewery Organic Ale. I'm not much for reviews, but here goes - it pours a nice head with lingering lacework...

    Removing Bottle Labels?

My brother left me some of those blasted Deuchars bottles to deal with. They are, hands down, the worst labels to get off. Damn Scottish ! Although, if you take a razor blade and pry off a corner to peel away each sticker in on peice, then sok the glue covered bottles for a while, a heavy duty...

First Extract Going Down Tonight Hopefully!

It will give off all sorts of weird and wonderful flavours and smells for the next week, so don't be too concerned. Ditto for the gunk in the bottom, it will settle out if you don't move the fermenter around. Although I dont know how you will go if you bottle straight from your main fermenter...

    Not Getting Much Head

Precisely, and well worth a mention to avoid a common misconception. Earlier this year I made a partial choc porter and looking back on my notes i added 80g priming sugers to a full batch (for new readers here, I have often used twice as much sugar for carbing beer, depending on style). Head was...

    Not Getting Much Head

If any given question was only EVER asked once in the lifetime of this forum, it would be a very dull place indeed. And being that the OP joined three weeks after the last post on the the thread you referenced, your comment is invalid. Who are you to assume everyone knows the mechanics of a...
