    Coopers + hops recipe?

Hey Micko, One of the best kit & dry hop recipes I made when I first started brewing was the Coopers Parity Amber Ale http://www.coopers.com.au/#/diy-beer/beer-recipes/ale/detail/parity-amber-ale-1/ I don't think you'll have much of an issue using a lager tin instead of the traditional draught...

Improving the results of a kit with another yeast?

Hey Rusty, using a spec yeast would be a good start to improving your kit beers. It just depends on what recipe you plan to use with your Draught tin. If it is just a kit & kilo brew the S-04 will help to bring out a bit more of the malt flavour. If you plan on adding "New World" hops (US, NZ...

Bill Murray Lager fresh wort kit

With the warmer ferment for the lager yeast you will still make beer but probably not your traditional bright lager. The fresh wort kit I brewed was great but I also added an additional 120g of hops. The wort kits are good but still fairly expensive compared to kits & bits, especially if you...

Bill Murray Lager fresh wort kit

Welcome to the forum & joys of brewing mate. I've used an All Inn kit before but not the lager. Which yeast did you use for the fresh wort kit?

    White Rabbit Belgian Pale Ale

Where do you live mate? Who is your local brew shop? You could use the fuggles but I don't think it will give you the desired effect. If you had about 40g of hops I would boil half for 10 minutes and dry hop the rest after the beer has been in the fermenter for about 5 - 7 days. Keep the...

    White Rabbit Belgian Pale Ale

Hey mate, I've only had this beer once last year and I didn't really blow me away but I'll try and help you with a recipe. The original: 29 IBU 20 EBC 4.9% ABV From the top of my head I would do something along the lines of this: 1.7kg Mangrove Jack’s Belgian Ale tin 1.5kg Amber liquid malt...

What would you brew with these ingredients?

    Kits revisited

At the end of last year I did my first partial mash using a Koslch recipe from BYO magazine. It turned out OK but quite dark for a Kolsch and over-carbonated. Following that I made the Cooper’s BeeKeeper recipe – TC Wheat beer tin, 1kg LDME, 350g honey & WB06 and it rules. Two weeks in the...

    Easy Saison

Sounds about right mate. I did the same recipe (but with Coopers tins) in a 22L batch, OG was 1053, FG was 1007.

    Easy Saison

Brew the Cooper's recipe! I brewed one up in December which I'm drinking at the moment. Super simple and packs a punch.

    Coopers Abbey Blonde

It looks like a good recipe, the two yeasts are what will give it the x-factor I reckon. I've brewed a fair few Coopers recipes and they always make a good beer.

    'battle Of The Toucans'

Yeah mate it's a Thomas Coopers hopped wheat beer can as per their recipe. http://www.coopers.com.au/#/diy-beer/beer-recipes/strong/detail/biere-du-mois-saison/ And I stuffed up my first post - I filled it to 22 litres, not 20.

Coopers selling full kit & bits recipe packs with free postage.

I had a Bee Sting from Barossa Valley Brewing last night and they use Orange Blossom Honey & late hop with Stryian Goldings - 100 times better than Beez Neez IMO. I'm going to try & replicate this when I get around to brewing the Beerkeeper :) Cheers + beers.

    Good hop combinations for APA

I tasted Kohatu (with Cascade) in the Moa SKW 99 Not Out Pale Ale - it's pretty delicious. Brewers Choice have stores on the South, North & West Side if you're after hops. Otherwise if you're after something more exotic try Craftbrewer at Capalaba.

    Good hop combinations for APA

+1 for Cascade & Centennial combo. Try Burleigh Brewing's 28 Pale Ale for an awesome example. I brewed a Chinook & Citra draught which I had my first taste of on Monday and will be awesome with a bit longer in the bottle. I put down an all Summer APA on the weekend which I'm looking forward to...

    Fresh Wort Kit

This might be of interest to you mate: http://brewerschoice.com.au/girl-every-porter/ The Black Cat Wort comes in a 15L drum from All Inn Brewing Co. I turned one into an IPA and topped it up to 20 litres and once bottled was about 4.3%, no other fermentables. (EDIT: not your typical IPA...

One kit down, what should I try next?

This recipe might be worth checking out too mate. http://coopers.com.au/#/diy-beer/beer-recipes/ale/detail/golden-ale-recipe-pack-23-litres/ It will be a great example of how spec grains & yeast plus some extra hops can make a completely different beer using the same can. Plus using all malt...

    Have I wrecked this?

You should be OK mate. Sounds like a straight forward recipe, just let the yeast do it's thing. RDWHAHB.
